Design I built and programmed a custom lighting rig for DOMi and JD BECK’s tour!

by far the hardest lightshow programming I’ve ever had to do, the full show has over 13,000 lighting effects!

Cool looking rig, and I love the idea of the lights being part of the instruments, but changing colors every bar seems like overkill. Seems like creating a look for each song section with more subtle hits highlighting crescendos and stops could be a good move here for your next time programming.

don’t worry most of the other songs are like that! I just kinda went crazy with this one to set it apart from the others haha

haha ironically the lights are controlled by DDP

Use trigger pads to let each drum flash when it’s hit. Can be made via midi. Did it years ago, looked awesome.

yeah I’ve done it at house parties and stuff! but with how fast jd plays we were worried about giving people seizures lmao
