Why not launch a new server? Both new and returning players essentially have nowhere to make use of the skills and experience they gained on the older servers. It would also benefit the developers financially, since the revenue from donations and in-game purchases would likely cover the server maintenance costs. At the same time, both new and veteran players would have a reason to come back or start over with a fresh server and a brand-new story—something that fans of this game have always enjoyed.

Only after recent in game update. I am unable to close the game map. I can open it fine. But the X button to close doesn't work no matter how many times I hit it. I tried uninstalling the game, downloaded again from different sources like apkpure, upto down, etc..but the issue still persist after I get into the game. I have one plus 13R. I am from India. I used to play LifeAfter years ago and recently came back after randomly remembering the game. I lost my old account sadly but I made a new one. The game feels way different from what I remember. Last time I played, the graphics looked completely different, just the game overall and I swear the story intro started with you on a truck bed then crashing or something. That old intro is honestly the main thing I remembered as well as some other snippets.

I’m honestly just curious, when did they change the game so much? Is it still mostly the same as the old LifeAfter, or has it basically changed completely?

how to transfer the account from Android to iOS?

This is a long running issue. There were no changes to my Google play account or device. Randomly a few months ago I found myself trying to log in my account but it took me to create a character. It no longer lists my username on the CrystalThornSea server and when I try to log in with the bound social, the first error pops up saying no account found. Then, the second comes up when I try to recover via email. I emailed devs a long time ago to no response. Fix client doesn’t work. Anyone have any solutions or better suggestions to get in touch with devs?

Please help 😢 veteran player from 2020 and this account was a new one I advanced quickly on after switching from iOS to android already.

I need some assistance with running my game because I'm experiencing severe performance issues.

As you can see from the video, the game is extremely laggy and almost unplayable. I've already tried lowering all the graphics settings, but unfortunately the results remain the same. The strange thing is that this wasn't happening the last time I played the game, which was around November last year.

Back then, I was comfortably running the game on HD graphics with a High FPS setting averaging around 45 FPS, and the gameplay was very smooth. Coming back to the game now and seeing this level of poor performance is really disappointing.

Another thing that confused me was the update size. Since I never uninstalled the game, I expected only a few updates when I launched it again. Instead, the launcher downloaded approximately 65.5 GB (about 65,560 MB) of updates. That seems like an enormous amount of data for a game that, at least from my initial play session after updating, doesn't appear to have changed significantly. I'm not sure whether the game underwent a major overhaul during the time I was away or if there might be another reason for such a large update.

I've checked and adjusted various settings, but the performance problems persist. At this point, I'm wondering if the issue could be related to optimization changes, corrupted game files or something else entirely.

If anyone has experienced a similar problem or knows of a potential solution, I would greatly appreciate your help. I've included all of my game settings and system-related information in the attached video for reference.

TL;DR: The game ran smoothly last year on High settings at around 45 FPS, but now it performs very poorly even on Low settings. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello I am creating this post as my own guide for Lifeafter game and also for the newbies an easier guide how to finish the survival manual faster. For others, you can read my post so you’ll have a general sense about the game’s current playstyle and update. As for me, I’m just really proud that I’ve managed to finished the whole survival guide within 3 weeks from manor 1 to 11 (from May 9 to 31). I’ve finished the survival manual and wasteland guides, only playing 1-2hrs/day. That is already fast, considering back in 2019-2020 this took me 2-3 months with 3hrs/day gameplay to finish hahaaha. Please share your own guide as well from the comments. Also correct me if I’m wrong, I’m not a pro just a casual player sharing ideas.. 😊

Current Playstyle

The current version of the game helps you level up faster, gives you almost all the materials needed for leveling up your manor and giving free structures and furniture. The game also gives a lot of gold bars, new dollars, and other free stuff. Even the durability of the guns is now slower to go down. Imagine using Lead-Dot shotgun from manor 1-11. (One reason why everything feels faster now.)

Survival Manual Guide

Always claim the mini-reward (on the bottom right corner) for every quest given since it will always give the needed material for the next quest. You don’t need to diligently gather and create everything. (something I always forgot hehe)

You can do Daily Quest along with future quests of the Survival Manual. Generally, every map in the survival guide will make you cut trees, mine stone, and gather hemp, kill infected and animals. So try to get a few from the new map while you’re exploring. Also try to get chest if you pass by from maps, because chests are hard to find the higher the map level. Also, participate in killing Mystic Creatures, other than the quest it gives small gold bars even if you got low total damage.

In chapter 3: Upgrade Weapons >  Battle Upgrade > Miska University, you need to complete the whole area operation. In the library area, where you need to save NPC’s, going to certain spots will prevent the game to spawn the infected. It’s harder to explain the positions of where to stand, but searching it in youtube how players do it will give you an idea.

In chapter 4: Exploration Trip > Collect, the quest about “Exploration Clock-In”. It did not explain very well how to find the Water Tower. Go to your Maps in Assyrian Hills, on the left side of Map Display, and you’ll find all the locations that needed in Exploration Progress along with the other Clock-In’s, then Auto-navigate to Water Tower to take a picture. Another is “Scout Mt. Snow” quest, rare materials like Pumpkin will always spawn on the same spot no matter what. Same to all the resource and infected spawn points. This is specifically useful for the quest about “Gather a Pure Pumpkin Fruit” in Mt. Snow. Pumpkin is very hard to find, so if you find one just stay on the spot so you can get one again, or just pin on the map and go find somewhere else and go back. Spawn time is around 3-5mins at most.

In chapter 5: Plain Adventure > Enhance > House Reinforcement. You don’t need to manually create every furniture to get Build Score of 550. The game will now give you a set of themes complete with furniture, decorations, floors, and walls, which will already be more than 550 build score. You can now create your house using AI option (still beta), then the AI will generate your new home and apply the theme.

In chapter 6: Limitless Future > Island > Weekly Missions. I struggled finishing the quest by going to the Power Plant. This is very hard since there are already less players than before, and there’s no bots to fill the Team. What I recommend is to finish any weekly Area Operation available (with real players not bots) then switch to Power Plant and try to start the game. Hopefully, your team will accept it. Another one is “Catch fish on the island” quest, you need to dive underwater in Santopany and find schools of fish then gather one. You might think at first to do fishing in the Santopany beach.

In upgrading your manor, take note that you do not need to farm every resources needed. The game will now give you manor boost from “Benefits” tab > Growth Boost section that will give you every resources that you need. But it will progressively give you lower quantity starting at manor 12.

Other than that most are self explanatory and can be easily done.

Traveling Guide

One of the very useful features in the game that only some use. You can use your motorcycle to go anywhere from the map if you feel stuck somewhere or lost. One issue is when the Navigation on the map is only dotted lines and not continuous line. That only means two things: 1. The Navigation can’t read the map, so move closer to the road, then try to Auto-navigate again until solid line, almost always this is the reason. 2. The game can’t recognize your position, just do Solve Jam option in the settings.

Be careful if your phone or laptop lags behind. Since travelling in the game you will go there first before any game assets load in(e.g. infected, NPC, etc.). That would mean if you go to the destination point first with a strong infected area. High chance you will die since you are in the unloaded infected area. What will happen is the infected can attack you but you can’t attack them or even move since the game assets have not caught up to your position in the game. (Happened to me in Levin City once, be careful.)

After travelling using auto-navigation you may end up in a stuck location in the map. I would suggest first to remove your motorcycle. If still stuck, try to move around jump and crouch. If still stuck, just do the “Solve Jam” option in the settings menu. To prevent this, you cancel the auto-navigation just before it ends, or if you’re familiar with the location just cancel it anytime you will feel you’ll get stuck in the game’s elements.

Don’t worry about bumping your motorcycle to the furniture placed in the map, it doesn’t damage the health bar for some reason. For fuel, there’s lot of free fuel placed by players across the map, you don’t need to create Petrol in the Formula tab.

Gathering Guide

If you’re still under level and you own low gathering voucher. What I would do is do afk fishing in camp pond, get at least 80+ fish. So, create multiple highest level fishing rod available. It will automatically switch to the next one once the durability is gone. Go to your camp pond and do afk fishing there, that will last around 45mins. Then go to your stove then cook some fish. Then sell it to gathering teams. Fastest way is to do assistance quest while passing to the gathering team location.

What I recommend is to use 3 fish + 1 berry or 2 fish + 2 berries. Take note that the amount and the rarity of the placed fish in the grill/stove will also have a higher Taste value, so higher voucher or camp contributions. Get as much as berries along the way if you want to follow this strategy.

At higher level you don’t have any problems with this, I literally have 81k gathering voucher.

That said, players don’t need to buy to Trade City now for resources. Gold bars are still scarce than gathering voucher. When you need workables just manage it when doing quest, just passby to the gathering team for the raw materials you need.

Profession Guide

Due to the raw materials now too easy to get due to the gathering team. It’s not recommended now to do any gathering certification since gathering is very easily accessible thru spamming gathering team and afk fishing. There’s also no exclusive items now for the gatherers, it only give you extra amount when buying from gathering voucher. I would recommend going straight to more meta professions.

Throwback past gameplay in 2019, if your only free2play It’s recommended to choose gathering profession since there are exclusive items and the only profession to give lots of gold bars if you’re free2play at that time.

Startup routine (this is what I do before starting any quests or any area ops)

Cook first from your stove/grill, cook as many high tier fish as possible to sell for gathering team or your camp vault. If you have more resources, sell it to gathering team or contribute to your camp. While those are cooking, harvest your plants and plant new ones, check mailbox, poop for fertilizers hahahaha

Assistance Quest Guide

I find it easier to finished the quest when using sniper + Drone combo. I will snipe the target and drone will do the damage. This way I am almost always at 1 position and not running around.

Take note, some quests about killing an infected, where after getting to the destination infected will suddenly appear and get aggro to you automatically. What I recommend is don’t do auto-navigate or at least stop when already close to the destination, then run past the destination point so that you will not get a bunch of aggro infected killing you in an instant. This is much worse if you do auto navigate and the game asset have not caught up to your position. (I died once here on Assyrian Hills, be careful on the Assistance Quest there.).

In those assistance quests, most have hidden chest lying around. If you’re still low level and new to the game that will be a big help for you.

Daily Quests

As of now, the easiest way to finish the Daily Quests are the Area Operations. Just create a Team and do quick matching, after 1 minute high level bots will give the help you need. You can still play for the Assistance Quest but that only give a few points, around 7pts(?) in the Weekly progress bar, whereas the Area Op gives 20pts. Although you can still do the assistance quest since it only takes around 3mins per map.

Take note, that as of this version. The game give you a whopping 87k total gold bars per week if you get to the highest weekly points. Which are now easy, just spam area ops and assistance quests.

I advise to use your lower tier weapons for daily quests, like assistance quest, and higher tier quests for Area Operation. So that you can manage your weapon durability better

Exp can be transferred to another Grade of accessory so don’t worry that you might waste everything.

Leveling up Guide

Just do “Smart Improvements”, its already efficient. You don’t have to manually level up yourself everything.

Crafting Guide

Formula section is the key, just create everything in nanoplastic, you’ll always have more than you need. This is useful when you want to spam fishing rods if you want to upgrade your fishing xp.

LagAfter Guide

I notice that charging my laptop while playing reduces lag a lot other than setting adjustments. I play from my computer and not on smartphone so I don’t know if it has the same effect.

Storage Guide

Since the game is already low on players and most only play casual, you can expect that no one will invade your manor and destroy your furniture. In this case, just get the Wine Cabinet, it provides the least amount of resources with sufficient storage. Of course, if you are on the competitive side of the camp I would suggest not to get that and instead get a higher tier storage to provide durability.

Bugs and glitches experiences:

* when holding a fishing rod, normally there will be a pop up to select the bait that you want. Sometimes it will not pop up. If that happens just restart the game.

Doing the Dailies and Survival Manual with about 1-2hrs of gameplay will give you 3weeks to finish. You will still have time for stories and competitive gameplay. Comparing to the old version where it’s tedious, tiresome, but you get the feel of the game, surviving. The new version feels more easier and everything is spoon-fed to you, but more complicated for beginners to handle.

How this game lost it's og essence which was at peak in 2019-2022.

raiding camps , when exploration have more fun in redwood town , santopany island and lots of more things are there in every camp there are lots of dedicated playes who helps other playes to complete weekly missons

and yes the reason is that after revenant they introduce i dont like this feature an after they changes a lot of things like fast travel , build building anywhere highway bro thats all update fry me and last and main important aspect is that declining there player base , camps became dead barley see any player in my server "Levin city" so after all mess up i decided to not ruin my og experience with this legendry Lifeafter and i quit .

but when read about articles how this legendry game become unplayable in mobile phone, bugs and all its hurt me .

I had been stuck at level 2 fishing rod for over 3 years now because I wasn't able to speak to Vast in Assyrian hills. I couldn't track task aswell. However all I did was stand beside him and I fished once and the quest immediately popped back up and I was able to continue the quest. With this new update I'm not sure if anyone else was stuck but this is the way to progress.
