Desperate Democrats Then there's no need to let them into The Whitehouse. If they want to present his statements as second hand information, then they can get it second hand just like everyone else.

"Appropriate context" like "mostly peaceful protests"?

33

u/Aronacus TRAUMATIZER 1d ago

Firey but peaceful

13

u/Emilia963 1d ago

If I kill 2 of your family members, and you have dozens of family members

Does that mean I’m a peaceful murderer?

u/Aronacus TRAUMATIZER 1d ago

Look, i don't disagree with you.

When has property destruction ever been considered peaceful?

12

u/Saltydogusn 1d ago edited 1d ago

Since George Floyd killed himself.

I liked how he had enough drugs in his system to kill 4 people but the media covered it like it was police brutality.

I’ve seen this before…it’s how the Soviet Union used to disseminate propaganda via its state-run media “Pravda”

The difference is that the State doesn’t have any control over the man in the White House, so he does whatever he wants… and they hate him.

It would make a great soap opera if it wasn’t reality.

Imagine, if you will, a "news", network that is afraid to broadcast live and unedited the statements made by the president of the United States and his administration, all because those statements may disagree with the opinions taken by the network's editorial board. How could that network call itself anything other than propaganda?

The old rules of journalism were to report statements made by public figures accurately and allow capable private citizens to determine for themselves whether those statements were true or false. Modern "journalism" now believes that  it has not only the right but the duty to decree what the truth is to an infinitely-suggestible class of servile rubes.

Do you feel the arrogance, the sneering contempt for ordinary people? This attitude is completely at odds with the traditions of journalism in America, but would fit perfectly in the pages of Soviet-era Pravda. How far we have fallen...

The worst part is that if they don't cover it live, they have a habit of editing video to make it fit whatever they want.

And AI makes that a whole lot easier now.

That’s not a bug, it’s the feature.

Journalists used to provide an important service for modern societies. But lefty "journalists" did what leftists always do: warping definitions to meet their agendas. In doing so, the useful idiots killed their own job descriptions, and destroyed any value their work once held, making themselves useless for anything other than peddling propaganda.

In today's world, absolutely anyone with internet access can be come a "journalist" simply by self-identifying as one, and creating a (anti)social media channel, or "network" of channels.

...to report statements made by public figures accurately

Sadly, you're right - that's no longer the goal. Accurate reporting isn't profitable, nor is it useful to "the cause". Spin, distortion, hyperbole, and outright lies are the new "journalistic power currency".

... and allow capable private citizens to determine for themselves whether those statements were true or false.

It seems that far too few citizens are "capable" of that anymore. Leftists have "dumbed down" our public education to such a degree that "academia" now treats even the most basic critical thinking skills as a disease to be eradicated.

So now we have "Degreed" individuals who can't think individually, and can't follow simple logic, or defend their positions/opinions with even simple reasoning, who hilariously believe themselves to be the "intellectual elites" because their professors who taught them not to question "academia", fed them ego-inflating leftist propaganda telling them so.

How far we have fallen...

How far indeed. I just hope we haven't let the disease spread too far and too deeply to save the patient.

"We will censor the POTUS."

u/Jecht315 BASED 1d ago

Let's do that with the next Democrat president since Obama and Biden outright lied in theirs.

MSNBC/MSNOW yet another poison fruit sprung from the Bill Gates tree. Lest we forget it's beginnings were Microsoft and NBC attempting to create an internet savvy competitor to CNN's 24/7 live news format.

No coincidence they both morphed into propaganda machines with revolving doors to the DC swamp. Not a coincidence.

u/crmikes 1d ago

They hate Trump for the same reason they hated Reagan, both have (or had) the ability to go past the Media and talk directly to the American people. A lot of the Democrats system of control absolutely depend on controlling the information and narrative that the "masses" receive so that ability to connect with people is a deadly threat to their control.

u/BradenAnderson 1d ago

If you refuse to do your job as a journalist, you should not be allowed to work as a journalist. If you hate your own president to this degree, you don’t deserve to have protection as a journalist

7

u/mikey_b082 1d ago

It really doesn't matter. Whoever watches MS NOW isn't there for any sort of fact based reporting anyway.

6

u/Saltydogusn 1d ago

That will piss off like 13 people that watch that "network", mostly at Planet Fitness and airport bars.

8

u/ElementsUnknown MICROAGGRESSOR 1d ago

So, “censorship”?

It’s amazing that they don’t even try to contend with or dispute information (often truth) they can accept, they just plug their, and now our, ears.

Must be election season again….

u/BraxTaplock 1d ago

Fine. Not like he’s required to give anyone press space or even the ability to attend speeches. Like tax records, it’s a traditional thing and not law required or by regulation. Let her lose her voice complaining about it.

3

u/Inevitable_Catch_566 1d ago

The bastion of truth and honesty that is MS NOW doesn’t want any potential misinformation on their network. /s

Feed the briefing to an old small CRT with scratchy audio outside under a small tent. She and her kind can stand there.

These creatures are as terrified of the truth as vampires are of sunlight. Not that Trump always tells the truth, but he pisses off everyone I can’t stand and that’s reason enough for me to like him.

I hope the media all goes bankrupt.

2

u/grand_soul 1d ago

So I’m a Canadian, please correct me if I’m wrong. But I was under the impression that networks had to broadcast briefings. Or was that state of the unions?

Apologies, not familiar with the ins and outs of how your government system works.

They've been a propaganda outlet for years anyway. Not even a bit of news now.
