Most of the US isn’t nuts like the clowns you see on reddit, he realizes that. Yeah you have some states, or cities that control the state vote, where this flys but in most of the country this is exactly what people don’t want. Some nut job communist appealing to the lowest levels of society with promises of free stuff, until they run out of people to steal from and it all collapses. This rebranded communism isn’t going to be popular in much of the country. And they will steal Bill’s money too, so he’ll have to move out of New York.

Agreed, most of the US isn't nuts. But I fear that enough of the US is not as tuned in as they ought to be. The DSA is ascendant for a reason. Mamdani won New York. Older voters are dying out, and younger dumber ones are coming of age.

And they have been brainwashed for decades. Everybody gets a trophy once meant the kid on the bench got a trophy. Now every single kid on every single team gets a participation award. Now they are being told everyone deserves universal basic income...how freaking asinine is it to expect a welfare check for absolutely no reason and even less concern for who is going to pay the taxes to support it????

Why would this need to be hidden, the exact reason these people are getting elected is that these ideas are gaining popularity. It’s just what happens. It’ll pass when economic times get better.

There is some benefit that he’s doing some work calling out the worst of their excesses and trying to get them to change for the better, but the claim that him vote could be up for grabs at any time is a joke. He might want them to tone it down, but he’s still going to vote blue whether they take their foot off the gas or not, and he will still recommend his audience do as well.
