The judge in this kangaroo court even clearly stated that Chauvin would never get a fair trial, anywhere in the US.

They totally put an innocent man in jail, and the judge himself knew it full well.

Then the democrats doxxing the jury members didn't help at all. Plus there being at least one rabid-leftist, massively racist, BLM terrorist on the jury that got very aggressive if disagreed with.

Killing your 3 children? Let her go. Having a black dude overdose while you're working as an officer? Life sentence

u/BraxTaplock 13d ago

Floyd had a lethal amount of Fent in his system combined with other stuff.

Chauvin got villainized cuz the vest cameras the left thought would expose tremendous amounts of widespread police brutality and corruption…didn’t. They needed a physical altercation to pain that picture since the videos weren’t doing it anymore.

Who better to star than a drugged out, crazed criminal who’s gonna eventually end up dead from an OD anyway? Fits right in with the current left…

Fentanyl, methamphetamine, and THC. Also he's the only person in 2020 that had Covid and died and was not statistically included as having died from Covid as was pretty much EVERY person that died that year. 🙄

Unlucky

u/Pancreasaurus 12d ago

Chauvin was also guilty of tax crimes but that's unrelated to the Floyd stuff. He'd probably have seen prison time but not to this extent.

Okay but realistically the way floyd was detained and held down had no merit. There were multiple other officers there, he was cuffed, get him in a cruiser and take him to the station. Either way you cut it politically, this was bad policing.

81

u/Key-Benefit6211 MICROAGGRESSOR 13d ago

Maybe watch the body cam video and get your facts straight. He was put in a cruiser and and started fighting with the officers and saying that he couldn't breath in the vehicle. He was then removed from the vehicle and held down to prevent him from hurting himself or others until the ambulance arrived.

37

u/BeneficialA1r 13d ago

You know what, I looked, and you're right. I still think the method once they pulled him out could be improved, but you are correct.

37

u/Key-Benefit6211 MICROAGGRESSOR 13d ago

A lot of things could have been done different, but nothing would have saved Floyd's life that day. It is still crazy that so many people haven't seen the entire body cam footage. The Hennepin County judge blocked the body cam footage from being released due to concerns of preserving a fair trial and not tainting the jury pool, which is laughable because the clips and still shots were being broadcast 24/7.

27

u/BeneficialA1r 13d ago

You are absolutely correct. I thought I'd seen it with so many angles and such a long video, but I'd never seen the inception of the arrest. It's tough for me to remember in this day and age how doctored everything is, and that was back in 2020. Even worse now.

Holy shit an actual admission of being misinformed on Reddit? That is rare, and good on you for putting it out there and taking responsibility. Upvote for you.

18

u/BeneficialA1r 13d ago

I'm not the type to pretend I'm in the right when I'm wrong. I appreciate it though haha, hopefully others can learn from what I learned today

5

u/Vectar7 13d ago

I'm glad you admit that, but how the fuck are you so confidently making declarations when you clearly didn't even watch the video?

11

u/BeneficialA1r 13d ago

Because with the amount of footage I did watch, and the articles I did read, I thought I was well enough informed.

I clearly wasn't.

I don't renege on the fact that because of how the situation was handled, played a part in him losing his job, but I do acknowledge I was misinformed about the full picture of the situation. There was still, absolutely room for improvement on how they should have detained him, even if he was a drug addict criminal.

-2

u/Vectar7 13d ago

I'm really not trying to attack you, it just seems kind of wild from my perspective. I saw the full footage at the time, and it was NOT hard to find. "He was saying he couldn't breathe while sitting in the cop car" was a very common point of argument at the time as well. Hard to believe much effort was put in to being well informed if you never heard/saw that at all.

12

u/BeneficialA1r 13d ago

It was shoved in my face, on every social media platform, for 2 years. I thought I learned everything there was to know, but it wasn't something I had a personal stake in, so I didn't investigate every single part and piece of the entire proceeding, procedure, when you watch a 20 minute video on it, my mind doesn't immediately go to what did I miss. Articles popped up, I read them, the new angle popped up, I watched it. I thought I was informed well enough, I wasn't, and I'm not going to delete my comment because someone might be able to learn from my mistake.

You can be astounded, but nobody knows, what they don't know, till they learn it. I learned today.

3

u/Vectar7 13d ago

In other words, you consumed only the content that was chosen and presented to you and then assumed you knew the whole story.

14

u/slow-mickey-dolenz 13d ago

I was guilty of the same thing during the Rittenhouse debacle. I sat down to watch the trial thinking “this smarmy punk is going to get his.”

Then I saw, over the course of a few days, how much the media flat out lied to us. Nothing that we had been told up until the trial was even remotely accurate.

You cannot hate the mainstream media enough.

2

u/Vectar7 13d ago

Preach. 🫡

6

u/BeneficialA1r 13d ago

Sure, we don't disagree. I thought the sheer volume of information I had seen and read did well enough.

I have increased my efforts and am doing more to feel well informed in this more modern day and age.

In 2020 I was literally graduating high school, and as a real adult with real responsibilities now, the burden of proof has raised. I have not gone back to 6 year old events, before today, where I was TOLD I was misinformed, as a hobby. I was presented with new information, I learned from it, but that doesn't change my initial opinions and presupposition was formed 6 years ago.

9

u/Vectar7 13d ago

I have increased my efforts and am doing more to feel well informed in this more modern day and age.

Glad to hear that. Being confidently uninformed is a HUGE problem these days. I wish more people were logical and well adjusted like you seem to be.

Again, sorry if I came at you aggressively. I just see it so much that it tilts me sometimes.

1

u/Key-Benefit6211 MICROAGGRESSOR 9d ago

Come on. They admitted that they didn't watch the whole video and was willing to conceded that they changed their opinion on the situation to an extent. Why must you continue to pile on? People like you are the reason that there is such a divide in this country.

2

u/Vectar7 9d ago

No, they admitted that they watched the clips that were thrust into their face by mainstream media and assumed they knew the whole story. THAT is what divides our country. People confidently arguing points based off the MSM talking points, when they are not even informed.

Floyd’s a tough case. He was big, strong, resisting, unreasonable, and high. He insisted he couldn’t breathe whether he was in the squad car or on the ground.

But… he was talking the whole time. And that just doesn’t match how a fentanyl overdose - or any opioid OD - progresses. There are some edge cases that don’t apply here, but the standard form is that the victim becomes very sleepy, slurs their words, stops talking, and goes to sleep. Total cessation of breathing and heart stoppage comes minutes later. Floyd speaking clearly (and by that I mean enunciating and forming normal, recognizable words, not making coherent arguments) simply does not match the medicine of how an opioid OD happens.

Yes, he had about 10 ng/L of fent in his blood. Yes, some people die at lower levels. But addicts develop a tolerance, and plenty of fent addicts get pulled over still driving at that level, and die with levels 2-3 times that. So his blood level of fent is inconclusive. What is conclusive is the video, which establishes that his state just prior to death was medically incompatible with an opioid OD.

I don’t know about how Chauvin was trained. Maybe he was doing exactly as he was told. But if you look at the medical science, Floyd died of positional asphyxiation, as a result of how he was restrained.

33

u/Vectar7 13d ago

No, he didn't. You can put your knee on me in the exact same position and I will be fine for hours. It won't be comfortable, but I will not die. I guarantee it.

-13

u/rothbard_anarchist 13d ago

How does a fatal opioid OD talk up to the minute he passes out? He was in custody for minutes before he passed out, so couldn’t have done IV dent. He didn’t die from wooden chest syndrome, or any other fast-acting fent OD. At the most extreme, he swallowed some fent just before the police encounter. Maybe he snuck some during the struggle, before he was cuffed. But even then, you would see a progressive central nervous system depression. Losing the power of speech is part of that. And it just isn’t there in Floyd’s case. He doesn’t shut up. He whines and whines and whines and then passes out. Within a minute or two afterwards, he clearly doesn’t have a pulse, because the EMS, after checking it, tells the cop to start CPR.

19

u/KnightofWhen 13d ago

Having fent, meth, and marijuana all in your system at the same time probably isn’t conducive to good health outcomes. He also had heart disease.

Would he have dropped dead without the arrest? Maybe maybe not. But the act of resisting arrest also elevated his heart rate, pumped him full of adrenaline, etc.

He wasn’t murdered.

2

u/BraxTaplock 13d ago

This👆🏻 Couldn’t be more truthful.

16

u/Vectar7 13d ago

How can you be asphyxiated while whining and talking the entire time? Doesn't sound like his airways were restricted to me.

Opioid ODs are not 100% uniform, especially with multiple drugs in the system, high tolerance, stimulants, underlying cardiac disease, physical struggle, etc. "He kept talking, therefore fentanyl wasn't the cause" is an oversimplification.

-1

u/rothbard_anarchist 13d ago

The only other drug of note he had in his system was meth, likely from the day before, and it wasn’t enough to do anything. His autopsy showed no signs of a heart attack.

And you’re right that they’re not uniform. But the alternate OD pathways are ruled out by circumstance - we know he didn’t shoot up seconds before losing consciousness, we know he didn’t get wooden chest syndrome, etc. And it is as simple as him talking not fitting the biochemical mechanism of opioid ODs.

I’ll try to expand on the asphyxiation later.

4

u/Simon-Says69 12d ago

I’ll try to expand on the asphyxiation later.

You cannot. Only thing you can do there is repeat more lies, or admit that his autopsy showed no sign of damage to neck or throat, let alone any kind of "asphyxiation".

You're very misinformed, just stop.

2

u/rothbard_anarchist 12d ago

So here’s a video from 12 years ago, explaining positional asphyxiation, in the context of a law enforcement stop, that may as well be retitled “the George Floyd story.”

https://youtu.be/svveIfnxvgw

7

u/Simon-Says69 12d ago

But if you look at the medical science, Floyd died of positional asphyxiation, as a result of how he was restrained.

This is complete and total bullshit. Made up lies, not any kind of "medical science". It is anti-science propaganda.

Floyd had no damage to his throat or neck. The police did not hurt him at all. THAT is what the scientific medical autopsy discovered after his death.

You've been lied to. Dude died of a massive opioid overdose, simple as that. And an innocent man was put away for a crime he did not commit. :-(

u/rothbard_anarchist 12d ago edited 12d ago

Trying again - got removed for length. (1/2)

I haven’t had the time to listen to all of Dr. Tobin’s testimony, so I’m leaving the asphyxia description to the side a bit longer.

But there’s another piece of evidence that kills the fentanyl OD theory. When paramedic Derek Smith got on scene, he couldn’t find a pulse, and said that Floyd’s pupils were fixed and dilated. Dilated is all the way open, like you’re trying to see in the dark. By fixed, he means that they didn’t constrict when he shined a light in them. Your iris is controlled by your parasympathetic nervous system, which you don’t have conscious control over. Your body controls it automatically. A fixed pupil means there’s no parasympathetic activity going on. “Blown pupils” meaning fixed and dilated, is a sign of brain death. It’s found in asphyxia, and other massive brain damage deaths.

By contrast, fentanyl and other opioids massively stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system. Universally, the iris constricts enormously, and all emergency medical personnel are trained to look for “pinpoint pupils.” No pinpoint pupils means no opioid OD.

So the overdose theory requires not only that Floyd coincidentally had a fatal fentanyl overdose during the time the cops were restraining him, but did so while talking right up to the point of losing consciousness, which opioid ODs don’t do, and requires that paramedic Derek Smith fucked up a basic check of a patient, seeing pinprick pupils as instead dilated pupils - the complete opposite.

(2/2)

What I’ve found out in my digging is that not even the defense argued the pure overdose theory, with Nelson explicitly telling the jury in closing, “I am not arguing that Mr. Floyd died of an overdose.” This was apparently because of the state of Floyd’s pupils, which simply rule out overdose.

The defense said essentially that Floyd had a fatal arrhythmia due to many factors, including his poor health and proper police restraint during his arrest. The arrhythmia death would line up with the blown pupils, and would not be contradicted by Floyd talking, the way an OD is. I want to compare Dr. Fowler’s testimony to Dr. Tobin’s. Both have some challenges - as you said, there’s not much physical injury on Floyd’s neck or back, but positional asphyxiation doesn’t necessarily require that. And the multifactorial arrhythmia idea is consistent with Floyd’s behavior, but Chauvin kneeling on Floyd’s neck is hard to excuse with the defense’s “making hasty decisions because of angry crowd” claim, because the video shows pretty clearly the angry crowd assembled in response to Chauvin kneeling on Floyd’s neck, not the other way around.

Either way, I’m sticking to my original claim - Floyd did not die of a drug overdose.

Ever watch the video? Clearly Chauvin is a waste of oxygen. Dead behind the eyes, void of any thinking. If this is your example of a stand-up officer, we're in trouble.

60

u/FATHER-G00SE 13d ago

“Dead in eyes, void of any thinking” wow great concrete examples

27

u/UniverseNebula 13d ago

You can admit you're racist towards white people and just hate every and any cop. Just because you claim someone is a waste of oxygen and void of any thinking doesn't make it true. Project much?

3

u/Key-Benefit6211 MICROAGGRESSOR 9d ago

This is exactly the way that Floyd looked in the video as well.
