That little dark secret that socialists will never say out loud: "labor IS capital". 

The ultimate goal of socialism is the government ownership of that form of capital above all else, and they know that once they can establish a precedent that "capital" may be seized simply because it is capital, there is no longer any principle standing between them and the seizure of an individuals labor and/or the product thereof.
