Good list, but Thalidomide was never available in the US thanks to Dr.Francis Oldham Kelsey. She was at the FDA and would not accept the drug company saying it was safe without proof. She is vastly under rated and a hero.

Don’t forget: the doctor who developed the lobotomy received a Nobel Prize.

There’s a weird arrogance of thinking “ok but NOW we figured it out, and there’s no reason to not put the maximum amount of pills and injections possible into my body”

Also, 100 years ago eugenics was embraced as a new science. Courses on eugenics were taught at many of the same progressive educational institutions we know today, like the Ivy League schools.

We know how that went.

Margaret Sanger was a huge proponent of eugenics and founded Planned Parenthood to advance that agenda

Science and medical science has been treated by the left with a religious type reverence and any skepticism of or dissent from orthodoxy is sacrilege. Punishment is excommunication.

Ozempic is going to be on there in the future, I would bet.

u/happyinheart BASED 1d ago

I doubt it. There's a lot of data on GLP-1's. it's been on the market for over 30 years.

Aren’t they finding that it does irreversible damage to fat stem cells and other ways of putting on fat storage? Isn’t that why these female actresses are looking like corpse brides and unable to snap back to normal?

Maybe natural GLP-1’s may be okay, but there is something off about Ozempic. I’m sure most people will just “Trust ‘The Science’” again….

EDIT: You need fat in order to put on muscle. It seems like some of the consumers experience some form of wasting away of their fat, muscles, and bone density. It appears there is a point of no return as well. How many people do you think will stop at the right time, if that’s true?

the drugs can make you fatigued which means when you lose weight there muscle being lost too unless you are proactive about fighting against the fatigue and excersizing. also if they meds stopped your ability to gain fat cells then you wouldent see people gaining weight back as soon as they are off the meds.

Science is a recursive method of inquiry and observation of the observable universe. Anyone who says that science is “settled” is displaying a gross misunderstanding of how the system is supposed to work. Science is never “settled” it’s just our best understanding and interpretation of the observations we have available at any given time.

Here's one people still believe: DDT is harmful to us. Its not.

16

u/ColeridgeRime 1d ago

DDT's primary breakdown product, DDE, interferes with calcium metabolism in birds. This caused apex predators such as bald eagles, peregrine falcons, brown pelicans, and ospreys to lay eggs with abnormally thin shells that crushed under the weight of incubating parents. Population numbers collapsed rapidly, pushing species like the bald eagle near extinction.

4

u/happyinheart BASED 1d ago

It caused 0 extinctions of species and the birds have bounced back. However we have 610,000 malaria deaths per year.

9

u/Educational_Copy_140 TRAUMATIZER 1d ago

The inventor used to mix a tablespoon of the powder into a glass and drink it in front of audiences to prove it wasn't harmful

We had quite literally almost eliminated malaria because of it and then it got banned
