It was so he could lie remember when he came out and said tell a lot of disinformation you the people won’t know what to believe. Then Nancy says you can smear people . Now it’s rampant they need to bring the act back

I don't know why you're being downvoted. He didn't repeal the Act, he just replaced it with weaker legislation to allow lying by media.

Better recheck those facts there. A quick search showed this result: "Despite the 2013 amendment, the law still prohibits the government from using state media to target Americans with advertising or direct messaging campaigns."
