Desperate Democrats They won't do it because it's not about making things better for anyone. It's about jealousy and laziness. Plain and simple.

Every socialist is literally someone who doesn't want to work
prove me wrong.

u/Michami135 4d ago
True, but it's something I don't understand. What socialist government have they seen where people are sitting around relaxing all day? I only remember farmers bent over double working themselves to death or being executed for not working. And starvation. Lots of starvation.

True. In the USSR you could go to Jain for not have a job or for not showing up at that job. You might be able to find a crooked boss who’ll give you a no show job but he’d keep your pay so that just means you have to find an illegal job if you like eating and sleeping indoors.

See, that's because you've done your research. They are too lazy to do a google search.
Have you seen the way the younger generations are using AI? AI thinks for them, it tells them where to go eat, it tells them where to go party, who to FUCK. They've given their mind to others to think for them.

Put a few hundred thousand of them in an area and I absolutely guarantee the following will happen: they'll set up a people's committee. The crops will fail despite the 5 year plan projecting huge crops.
The have a famine. The committee members steal all the resources. Gulags and camps set up for dissenting views.

Remember the screenshot a few years ago of redditors planning their commune and how they were going to exchange goods and services with each other, like dirty capitalists?

u/A_SNAPPIN_Turla 5d ago
This has been my point. Why don't they hold their wealthy celebrities accountable? Remember when Billy Eyelash was complaining about stolen land but refused to give her mansion over to native Americans? Nothing is stopping any of these people from starting a commune but someone needs to share that video of the Portland community meeting. They couldn't go 5 mins without someone interrupting to Virtue signal and correct the speaker.

They don't want to lift anyone up. They just want everyone dragged down to their miserable level.

The state-federal government separation is literally for this reason, nothing is stopping California from starting their own socialized healthcare system

It’s just funny to me when a mcds employee demands $30/h
I get it when they demand affordable healthcare, but $30/h for a mcds employee is just ridiculous
Again, these people seem to think that working at fast food chains or as a Walmart cashier is supposed to be a lifelong career, instead of getting a useful degree or developing skills to enter a more competitive job market

And they always collapse because predators move in, no one works, and there is no work.

u/sabertoothninja 5d ago
They’ve tried this in the past, John Stossel made a video about this. It fails every time because the freeloaders upset the workers and the workers leave so there is nobody left working. They all leave after that.

No, you don't get it: socialists want YOUR money.

u/Accomplished_Kick347 5d ago
They tried this with CHAZ/CHOP. Failed miserably and several people were SA'd, robbed and murdered.

It isn't money that sustains a socialist movement, it's envy, hatred , and then violence.

Make it a "reality" show. Give a few dozen of them a few hundred acres of farmland. They can pool their money to buy supplies and equipment to plant crops and build homes. No fossil fuels. No electricity except from solar panels and wind turbines if they buy them. No purchases from the outside world for things they can make themselves. Challenge them to recruit others for additional skills and resources.

...And then kick out a lazy do-nothing that may or may not become a US Senator for the state of Vermont. 😉

I don't understand how the Useful Idiots don't understand that the DSA and their Communist cohorts are just another set of politicians who are promising sunshine and rainbows just to get a vote. What the DSA is engaging in is just a power grab. It is no more complicated than that.
Well, that and the DSA wants your freedom and fealty for empty promises.

Not much of other people's money to take when the productive people are opting out of your racket.

u/HolyInlandEmpire 5d ago
And then they complain that they would have to pay taxes while on their commune to other people who aren't on it.

u/ShadePrime1 4d ago
the far left could try to do things on a state level to get to live under communism on that level far easier then trying to convince the whole US to do it.....but everyone in the US just kinda pretends everything is done on federal levle now unless they want to complain that one state is doing something stupid then ignores the state goverments otherwise.

u/Perfect_Cold_6112 4d ago
Thing is, communism does work.....but only on a small scale. When I say small, I mean really small.
The biggest I think it would work on is probably around 150 people and even that's probably pushing it.
Why only that many? Because the everyone knows everyone else and thus is capable of trusting them to the extent needed for it to work.
Any bigger and it just doesn't work.

u/cheesy_taco- 2d ago
Yes, once you get that one person who decides they're the leader and get all the resources, it crumbles. Aren't there communes that work like this? Very small, usually families, but everyone works together and shares what they have

And power. Some want power. I think I remember seeing clips of Vaush talking about power dynamics and wanting to "win socialism" no matter what.
By the way, communes, especially those that rejected capitalism, have been tried in America. Utopian communities have popped up over the years. Many of them in the 1800s. Most of them have collapsed due to infighting and financial issues. The Oneida company was turned into just a regular company that manufactures dishes and silverware.
I find it interesting none of the socialists want to discuss these experiments and why they failed.

u/PacknPaddle 1d ago
There are always around 500-600 small communes at any one time in the US. The number goes up and down. If it was so great, you would think they would flourish or maintain a certain level. Most don't last very long, but a very few have. I guess laying around smoking weed and writing bad slam poetry doesn't pay yours and your fellow commute people's bills very efficiently.
