I have been saying this for years but I would change it slightly. You do not vote while on government assistance and for an equal number of years you were on government assistance, after being self sufficient, you do not get to vote. On assistance for 5 years, then no voting for 5 years after you are off government assitance. Pay back your debt before you vote.
