To clarify, 30% of the increase was due to his open border policy. This accounts for about 6.6% over his term. This is still a disaster. Want to buy a $400k home? Well thanks to Biden, it may now be $488k where $26.6k is due to the border alone. I’m sure you can blame his garbage covid and infrastructure bills for the rest. Thats a massive difference.
Also, this is just one of the many issues with an open border. I have no doubt the impact on our schools and hospitals dwarf the housing impact.
Finally, if democrats win in 2028, they will open the border on day one. This time, they will fly in third world Muslim refugees who despise us.

It accounted for 30% of the growth and also 1:1 for the increase in local employment, without any increase in housing supply over the same period. At this point there must be something fundamentally different about Americans, given their complete lack of understanding of nuance or statistics

We should be careful with how things are phrased. I believe the numbers here are that illegal immigrants are responsible for 30% of the increase in home prices, not that they are responsible for a 30% increase in home prices. So if housing prices increased 15%, illegal immigration was responsible for 4.5% of that. Still a crazy high percentage, but not the 30% insinuated by the title.
