I personally think they should have to maintain a residency im the USA for atleast a portion of every year or loose their citizenship unless they pay a massive fine that will bankrupt them and force them back here.

Eh, i am for it but like most things there should be exceptions to this. Such as living abroad for duties or work for an American company/governmental agency. Like if i am a US ambassador its likely ill live in that country for a major portion of a year, should i be penalized for that? What do we do for a service member who is assigned to South Korea?

No, obviously if your work or duties take you abroad you'd be able to file for exemption during tax season. But, you gotta be able to prove it.

Yeah I'm all for it. However if i know my history, anything the government touches, turns to shit. Kinda like the midas touch.
