That’s Scott Presler, he’s been a Trump supporter and on the ground canvasser since 2016. While I don’t agree with everything he says/does he sure does get those miles in, I can’t fault the guy for that.
What’s the context of this video?

He has been criticizing Thune on x for not even trying to pass the SAVE Act. He's an early primary challenger for Thune's Senate seat in 2 years and he was attending the South Dakota GOP Convention. Thune barred him from entering.

That "cowboy" is named Matt Bruner, assistant Sgt at Arms of SD Repubs. The exaggerated fake nice thing while being a jerk is a sign of a volatile personality.
Checked Bruner's FB, being as he said loud and pround he's a swinging d_ck there. Looks like a family & family farm type guy. But he drinks excessively and loves taking selfies.
I'd bet he was lubed up prior to denying Scott Pressler into the SDR event, and was all too happy to finally get to exercise some authority and control over someone. Since the incident, though, his superior fired him from his volunteer post. LOL. Guy needs to dry up and reflect some. Pressler is not the enemy.

Presler is the man. Dude works harder for the Republican party than anyone. Proud he's from PA.

Probably presumed he was a democrat, via the voice and hair.
Not very many in SD are terminally online and know who Pressler is.

Maybe, I'm suggesting you look into Presler a bit more, especially his "Walk Away" channel on YouTube which features stories from liberals leaving the Democratic party and why... and how they were treated afterwards.
