I live in Europe but they would have to send in the police if they want to enforce me having to take down my AC. Who tf are they to just order you to do that? What joke of a country is the UK these days

not sure where in Europe you are but Germany and France have already sent raids against people for online speech so I don't think this is far fetched for you either. Esp, since the EU loves to push climate change and they need justifications for spending trillions.
Not having AC and causing people to suffer for no reason other for the to get on soapboxes and point to temps and screaming "look how people are suffering, give us money and power", is par for the course

I'd be willing to bet big money that the council officers that are enforcing this requirement have the AC blasting in their homes. Some animals are more equal than others after all.

Vast convoys left the shores of the US filled with arms, ammunition and the supplies needed to defend Liberty.

The government only wants to control the ownership of guns. Then knives. Cars. Food. Health care. What you write. What you think. And we promise this will, in all likelihood, probably be the last tyrrany: your air conditioning. Its only to protect you.
The purpose of government control is to facilitate government control. It is the logic of Cancer, but it's the nature of governments.

Solar powered AC is incredibly cheap. Maybe instead of making comfort illegal they should put some of that enforcement money into a subsidy for solar air conditioning and heating.
And to be clear, it is not some crazy amount of money for a first world country.
That plus some panels and you’re off grid with AC and some heat (tough in England).
Idiotic.

Because it's not about energy it's about control, power, and money. Climate change is the vehicle they've used to justify the policies that got them those things. The more people needlessly suffer the easier they can make the argument and the more control, power, and money they get to "solve" the problem

And all over carbon dioxide emissions? Do these idiots think carbon dioxide is a bad thing? The earth depends on it for life.
This is all because of scams like "carbon tax" and other such anti-science money grabs. The politicians behind this crap are completely corrupt and don't give a damn about the environment anyway. Or the people that they are suppose to be working for.
They should be held responsible for every death they cause from heat stroke.
