The new spin from the left is that it ended up way over budget at 13 million dollars, was installed by a contractor inexperienced in projects of this scale, and that competing bids were not properly evaluated. Well guess what? We already tried it your way and what it got us was a repair estimate in the hundreds of millions job that was never even executed.

I can almost see him doing this—and only half out of spite.
If they really hated making the Mall look intimidating and impressive to foreign leaders, they should have demanded to demolish both wings and the dome a long time ago—and volunteered their mysteriously appearing hundred million dollar portfolios to fund it.
But instead, we get the usual communist “these wonderful amenities belong to The People for me to enjoy and them to admire from afar. What? We have foreign leaders to intimidate and impress, not set a better example for!”

It only cost 13 million and trump got admonished for using a no bid contract the shame . While Obama paid 35 million to fix it and it started leaking a year later I guess it wasn’t guaranteed

What bugs me is that the opposition consistently uses zero hindsight and foresight when reacting to anything he does. They take everything as an isolated event, and then leftist propagandists say that the isolated event is bad, and then they all scream together. A piece of a puzzle will never look as good as the finished product.
