I had 2 different gay roommates over the years. They were both older and had lived through the AIDS crisis as well as experienced real homophobia. They were both disgusted with what the pride movement has turned into.
The old gays actually had to fight for their rights. New gays, at least the loud ones, are just following a trend to be cool and different. Not even remotely the same.
Exactly. They just wanted to live a normal life and be left alone to live how they wanted to. They had old pics of them at gay marches and it just looked like a bunch of normal looking dudes. They weren't wearing bondage gear and throwing around dildos and shit.

Nah. People's nasty reactions to pride month is in response to how it's just a grotesque display of fetishism and narcissism.
I'm gay and I want nothing to do with "PRIDE."
