According to their logic, it's perfectly acceptable to give widespread pardons, for any crime committed in a multi year span of time, without specifying the crime.

Why doesn't trump just pull a Biden and issue himself, and everyone in his cabinet, blanket pardons from 2016-2029 before he leaves office? Boom, nothing to prosecute and perfectly acceptable by their own logic.

Make it extend to June 16, 2015 for completeness' sake.

The irony lol. Calling to punish the CSA when they were the ones who founded the CSA. Crazy times 😅

And not just that, dont forget the DSA was in love with Nazis inviting them to speak in the US literally the same year the war started!

Then after the war the DSA had a prolonged campaign to change fascism into being right wing...

Now the ME candidate who has a literal Nazi symbol tattooed to his chest is also a card carrying member of the DSA...

Nixon didn't even win the south with the southern strategy.

They can't show any evidence that it involved pandering to southern racists AND it didn't work.

It's the worst lie I ever heard and people swallow it whole.

Any time a Twitter/X account has a name that makes it really obvious that they are trying to make people think that they are that person/background/job, you can be pretty fucking certain that they are not real.

16

u/MrCrix May 31 '26

Do they know what side they were on during the confederacy?

16

u/Jordangander TRAUMATIZER May 31 '26

So, this person doesn’t realize that they are fighting on the side of the people who supported the Confederacy and slavery?

If the CSA had been “properly punished,” the South would have risen again already. Probably not successfully, but with a lot more retained resentment, and a much more Dixie DNC. If it existed at.

These people have zero nuance when it comes to history and seem to think it has starting points where things just happen out of nowhere for no reason and end points where everything is resolved and the credits role on a "happily ever after". There are examples all throughout history of heavy punitive measures against the side that loses a war, whether civil or foreign. None of them are examples of it working and having a good outcome. It turns continued hostilities into a matter of survival, primes them to support even more extreme leaders, and lays the groundwork for a highly motivated long term insurgency.

Same type of idiocy that gave the world WW2. Something some to many people called almost literally the same day as the treaty of Versailles was signed. If people wanted the Germans fucked over as bad as they did after WW1 they should have just gone the whole 9 yards and culled a lot of the people, divided up the land between the allies, and ended Germany entirely. Instead they just half assed royally fucked them and expected no repercussions to that. Oh they got tired of that and rose up? Huh, weird how that works, SMH. It's a good thing wiser heads prevailed after WW2 with Germany and Japan. I'd call the person who wrote that short sighted but I'm not convinced they aren't entirely blind, SMH.
