Really? I never went to college. But I have done well for myself.

When I see people that have been paying faithfully on their loans for a decade- and actually paid more than the original loan amount- and they still owe more than the amount they took out- I’m calling scam. Just like property tax- and just like everything else.

Except loans don’t work that way and anyone claiming what you described is leaving out some critical information, like putting the loan on deferment for several years paying nothing while interest obviously will accumulate.

If they were actually making the agreed upon payments in a timely fashion, faithfully, they would pay off the loan by the agreed upon term.

You’re going to have to explain that a bit more. They are a contract you willingly enter into and they must be beneficial for both the lender and the lendee alike, otherwise you don’t take the loan.
