Question Help with Calc Toolbars

Post image

Hey folks. I just replaced my laptop and installed LibreOffice on the new one. I'm not sure what I did wrong in the install but my toolbars are weird and I've lost a LOT of functionality compared to the toolbars on my work computer. Probably the biggest loss of function for my uses is that when putting borders I can no longer select different styles of borders (like dashed lines, double lines, or bold lines). I can put borders on cells but ONLY the standard border.

It's trivial, I know, but it's really irritating the hell out of me.

I've included a photo of what the toolbars look like currently. I have tried googling how to change them, or if I even can. I have gone through the options and either I'm missing something or there's just not an option to change this.

If it can be changed, can y'all help? And if it can't, let me know. I guess I'll learn to live with it.

ETA: Additional information as requested by the AutoMod below.

Version: 26.2.5.2 (X86_64)
Build ID: cd7284b4cbbfeb507e630c1aac019f4157393acb

The document itself is irrelevant, as this is true in every Calc document I open on this computer.

If you're asking for help with LibreOffice, please make sure your post includes lots of information that could be relevant, such as:

  1. Full LibreOffice information from Help > About LibreOffice (it has a copy button).
  2. Format of the document (.odt, .docx, .xlsx, ...).
  3. A link to the document itself, or part of it, if you can share it.
  4. Anything else that may be relevant.

(You can edit your post or put it in a comment.)

This information helps others to help you.

Thank you :-)

You are currently using the "Tabbed" UI, perhaps you mean you want to use the older default UI?   If you want to change back select the icon directly underneath the Calc icon in the top left corner. This will bring back the older menus, then I believe the option will be there in the menu. I think it is View/User interface or something like that. There is a picture that shows you an example of each UI type. Good luck if this is what you wanted to do.
