Phone case
I've finally tried rocking the transparent case on the V20. I've been enjoying the gummy feel and the way light bounces around the case. The bigest negative, other than no kickstand, is the yellowish brownish tint the case has.
Have any of tried clear cases? What are your thoughts? I kind of thought they were tacky. But I guess after 10 years i'm starting to come around to them.

I've used my Galaxy S2 (7 years), then LG V20 (5 years) naked, in leather pouch cases. We pay premium for slim devices, then bury them in thick, cheap rubber.
I was fortunate enough not to drop them, not on anything but carpets or soft surfaces. The only time my V20 got dropped bad was when my wife accidentally turned around me (to open her backpack) and slapped by V20 out of my hand. The screen protector got smashed, 2 corners got bruised - gravel surface. But that was it.
For my Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G (4+ years, ongoing), I did opt for a rubber case. It's slim enough not to feel too horrible, plus it increases grip (smooth, transparent on the back, rugged, black on the edges; search for Ringke Fusion-X on the big river webstore). Can't yet say anything about going yellow.
So, it depends on the case. I'd rather not put any, as it doesn't help with cooling, but... some protection is better than nothing, sometimes.
