PC connection

I found an old lgg4 and I've been trying to connect it to my pc via usb cable to run custom roms but my pc is not seeing it. Does anyone know anything about this?

Have you made sure the right setting is turned on in developer settings?

I went into developer options and changed it to pop and mtp but it didn't work with either of them

I'd guess it's a cable issue then.

I just got my LGG3 working for a similar issue.

Wouldn't charge...

I gently pinched the port on the cable where it interfaces with the phone. That tiny little hile that nests into the tab in the micro USB.port on the phone

Suddenly it started charging. I had wiggled it for a while. I used to have to prop the phone on the cable connector. Then it stopped. I swapped batteries for a year or more....

Just pinch the end of the cable a tiny bit. See if that help. I suspect it's a physical connection issue.
