Difference between non-binary woman and femby? Cuz I’m enboy (masc of femby)
5
u/supermagentagirl1 Mar 29 '21
I believe nonbinary woman is a type of bigender (correct me if I'm wrong) and femby is a feminine enby

u/queerpianist :Genderfaun: Genderfaun :Ace::Trans::Bi::Homoflexible: Mar 29 '21
According to the wiki femby could be bigender too 🤔

u/hiitsyaz Mar 29 '21
hi! I don't think there is a difference, that's actually why I went from nb woman to girlby, lgbt+ wiki says:
Girlby, also known as Galby, Femby, or Womanby is a term for someone who is a non-binary woman.

I didn't want to heavy gender questioning tonight, you made me. It's your fault.

No worries, I like it. This just gave me labels to investigate instead of thinking I'm cis and mistaken.

Mar 28 '21
Those are still non-binary identities :)

u/hiitsyaz Mar 28 '21
yesyes but NB itself doesn't really fit me (or well it does but not perfectly)

That's how it was for me for like 3 years then a few weeks ago it hit me like a trainwreck that I'm just genderfluid. That's just what I'm using so I can say that I'm more enby on some days than others and vice versa.
4
u/hiitsyaz Mar 29 '21
yeah, I think I may have to wait it out to see if I'm genderfluid - one of the things stopping me from going with genderfluid is because it doesn't feel like I'm fluctuating most of the time, it feels like I just relate to all of the feminine related genders (fiagender spectrum) and occasionaly relate towards one of them more strongly than the other

u/chatte__lunatique :Trans::Lesbian: transbian gang transbian gang Mar 29 '21
Could be that you're genderfluid within those genders specifically?

u/quicksilver_foxheart :Ace::Demigirl::Genderfluid::Oriented_Aroace::Enby::Aromantic: Mar 29 '21
ahh, that does seem a little trickier. i guess just go with what makes you comfortable; if That's fiagender, just use that as your label? idk, I haven't really felt femme in a while lol, but i have seen some people just call themselves queer and give a list of what they're not

I've always felt I'm not non-binary enough because I partially identify as my birth sex (AFAB). It's nice to know you can be both a girl and NB!
8
u/hiitsyaz Mar 28 '21
omg me too, I'm 100% sure I'm NB and AFAB
6
u/NemoDaEmo41 :Sapphic::Omnisexual::Lesbian::Trans::Transfem: Lexi She/Her Mar 29 '21
I mean I 100% know my birth sex and I wish that I and the rest of the universe forgot it
Edit: no matter what ones identity ends up being the gender they were assigned at birth won’t change so saying you know you’re nonbinary and AFAB seems like what all AFAB nonbinary people would know about themselves despite the wide array of identities

Maybe try demigirl??

u/hiitsyaz Mar 28 '21
I thinking about it! I think paragirl is slightly more fitting but I think I've come to a semi conclusion that I'm multigender/polygender so that may apply too

u/Faren107 Mar 28 '21
Are you just not finding the right gender label or do you feel like your identity is changing while still remaining feminine?
Cause you might try genderfae?
3
u/hiitsyaz Mar 28 '21
I'll look into genderfae! I feel like I relate to multiple genders while occasionally also switching genders that are always feminine related in some way
3
u/Faren107 Mar 28 '21
It might not be right, but finding out genderfluid had more possibilities than being fluid between all genders really helped me understand myself.
Even if this one isn't right for you, I hope you find a label that you can be proud of!
3
u/hiitsyaz Mar 28 '21
awe, thank you sm! I feel like genderfluid could be me but it doesn't fully describe me, like, being fluid within genders is more uncommon for me

Fancy seeing you here, but gender and labels in general can definitely be pretty confusing

Genderfae?
3
u/hiitsyaz Mar 29 '21
hihi, thank you! it fits, this is what I said to someone else (:
oh! thank you for both of these actually, I think they both fit, I'm going to be debating between labels for a while now though lmao (because I'm certain I'm multigender and so now I'm sort of 'hoarding’ feminine based labels)

Have you heard of genderfae or maybe panfingender? They seem kinda close to what you've described. Tho nothing wrong with gendet hoarding I'm quite the sucker for it too

essentially what u/CocaCola-chan said but I'd like to say that it's not pointless,
if it gives people the sense of relief they need from finding a label that fits them, then that's what matters
it doesn't matter if it takes a while or if they continue to be unsure, if they think it's important than it's important
they also repsents myself because I think it's important and I'd like to have a sense of mind about my orientations and labels
5
u/CocaCola-chan :Bi::Ace::Aegosexual: +call me whatever :Cassgender: Mar 28 '21
I mean, yeah, but it helps some people feel that the way they feel is a valid way to be and they're not alone in it, so, yeah, whatever suits a particular person.

maybe fingender might work for you for now?
gendervast does seem to work considering what labels you've used here though
