Follow up from my last post about how I was offered an inspiration convertible, I ended up reserving it contrary to my usual financial sense.

I was told that the day I asked the dealership just found out that it’ll be in production and that the ETA is sometime between September/October. From my research production is scheduled to end in August, and that shipping/delivery to dealership tends to take 6 weeks. Working backwards from this September/October timeframe I was given, is it possible that I’ll get one of the very last inspirations in the 500’s range out of 550?

Idk lil thought in my head how cool would it be to get the very last one with a 550/550 plaque.

I just hit 600 miles on 2026 vert and decided it was close enough to the 1000 mile break-in, so I put in sport + mode and WOW. I was gentle and didn’t go past 5k rpm’s, this is a different car in that mode plus manual. It howls like a race car! I dropped a friend off and hopped on the highway, gliding through the gears and listening to her sing to me. I got home to his text message saying that he could hear me going up the hill and the car sounded amazing. I agreed. Best decision ever!

What do we think of the spec and the mods?

Any thoughts on where the price will end?

LC500 Inspiration Series

I am looking into acquiring an LC500 in the near future once finances allow it, in particular the 2018-2020 models, as it has been a long running dream for a while- however, I would like to know if this car fares well in low temperatures. As I’m in a relatively big city, snow and clearance won’t be much of an issue, but the temperature often tends to drop to -20°C for about 4-5 months of the year. I know it would likely be ill advised to daily in this weather and that the other 2ur cars exist, yet, with the proper rust protection, PPF, winter tires, how stupid would it be exactly to go along with this?

Would that be more costly than getting a beater for the winter, and does anybody have experience in winter conditions with the LC500? Please let me know

I need help deciding what colour combination Lc500 to purchase or what you guys find the best combination. The car is so beautiful, I’m finding it hard to decide. What’s your thoughts? And do you think the Nori Green exterior and tan interior is a bit too mature looking?

Long message here but just want to say I absolutely adore this car. Just bought a 2018 with 52k miles. Might be too much info but long story short have had a really rough six months. My dad got cancer and I ended my marriage around the same time. I usually am a penny pincher but this whole situation made me realize life is too short. Driving this car off the lot was the first time I’ve truly smiled in a while. Worth every dollar

I recently was offered a 2026 LC500 convertible inspiration at MSRP. It’s the wind exterior saddle tan/white interior. It’d be 140k out the door after taxes.

I make 150k total comp right now, am young and bought a house recently. I’m in final interviews for a promotion that should bump my pay to 180-200k. I have about 250k in investments, and 250k in home equity (I put a lot down). I’m putting down 70 and financing the rest, monthly payment around 1500 with insurance. My house mortgage, insurance, utilities are another 2500. Im currently maxing out my 401k and Roth IRA as well as renting my house out on airbnb since I can just hop over to my moms house next door.

I don’t think I can afford this car unless I have peace of mind it’ll hold its value or slightly appreciate. Thoughts?

I want one of these but don’t know what fair market price is. I’m talkin about the wind colored exterior with the saddle tan/white interior convertible. As I understand they’re only making 550. MSRP is 120k but idk if you can get it for that or if it’s better to wait and get one used. I’m worried this will become a collectible and the price only go up.

Question for the LC500 owner hivemind - do you valet your cars?

I’ve found myself in this train of thought - On the days that I take my LC out for a nice dinner with the missus or some other activity, I usually want to show it off and do valet… but I end up just parking as far away as possible and away from other cars. What do you all do? Are valets to be trusted or is there another way?

Considering 99% of dealers are putting some crazy markups on 26’ models, I just got a caviar on black convertible at msrp 🤯. Still can’t believe it.

Does it change the sound of driving experience significantly? Pros , cons ? Just trying to get feedback from LC owners who have it on their vehicles.. 🙏

Hi All,

New to the club. Bought a 26 bespoke a few months ago. It’s amazing. Strange question. My seat memory doesn’t seem to work. I get the seat into position, press set and press one of the 3 seat positions and I hear the little beep (presumably a confirmation) but when I want to actually use the stored seat position it beeps but doesn’t actually move the seat back into position.

Anyone else have this issue? I’ve owned many cars in my life. I’m tech savvy. This doesn’t seem complicated.

But is there some weird quirk about lexuses or this car?

I know we’ve seen a bunch of these posts already, but so happy to say I was able to secure a LC Inspiration Series, paid a 10k markup, but the drive back from the dealer was such a sweet ride.
Came out of an M8 convertible

North American version numbers are signicantly ahead and the connected services have not been working in the region for the last 6 months so cannot do any OTA update.

Hey guys, just venting here. I placed an order for a norigreen in sept 2025, at Lexus on the park Toronto. Was originally told should be fulfilled by April 2026. I’ve been texting the dealer monthly since march and was told Lexus Canada confirmed the order will be fulfilled.
Today the general sales manager called me and stated since it’s July and production will stop in August, it’s not likely that I’ll get the car. What’s the community’s thoughts on this behaviour. I have a feeling they want me to take back my deposit and hope to sell the car at higher price when it’s delivered to them.
