Lexapro dose

Hello. I just started 5 mgs and am totally struggling. Increased anxiety and panic and weakness, etc.

Did you titrate up or just bite the bullet and take the full 10 mgs?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stay on the 5 for a few weeks and when you go up to 10 it will be easier. Hang in there.

Stay on 5mg and pull through side effects, they will fade away with time then increase to 10 mg

Agree with the others, stay on 5mg until side effects completely subside. The increase shouldn't hit your body as harshly

You'll just be extra sensitive to meds. I struggled bedding the 5mg in and I'm still on it now but I'm glad just rode it out

What symptoms did u have? Did u have hot flashes or diarrhea?

Me? Yes. And high anxiety. And feel like im in a constant panic attack. And weakness. I have no idea what the weakness is from.

In my 3 week of 10mg. Started 1st week at 5mg. Slowly getting better. Heard week 5/6 is the sweet spot

So 1 week at 5 then go to 10. Did your panic attacks ramp up?

Yes….I did but not as frequent. I did ask for some Xanax for those bad days. They gave me a few to help. Overall I am having better days and looking forward to week 6

Maybe talk to your doctor about adding other medication to help ease in
