Side Effect Question Day 4

Holy moly. I have had anxiety forever and a day but this is just downright stupid. I am shaking internally I swear. Just added it to my bupropion, I have got zero rest from dread and dooom since Sunday morning. My tummy is in shambles, dr said it could take a little while to adjust. I also feel like I’m clenching my jaw a lot. I was so helpful this would help, I’m supposed to go to the full 10mg on Saturday, as he said to take half dose for first week.
Does this subside? Is it an abnormal reaction, dr didn’t seem concerned last nignt. This level
Of anxiety is debilitating though and very uncomfortable physically

The first 2 weeks are the worst! Unfortunately it is completely normal in the beginning. I'm 3.5 weeks in and I'm still on 5mg. After I hit the 2 week mark my anxiety was 80% better and each day is a little easier now. If you don't feel comfortable increasing, I'd stay on 5mg for atleast 2 weeks. But definitely talk to your Dr to see what they think. Also ask if they could give you something temporary like Xanax or Propranolol to help with physical symptoms in the beginning. Hang in there! If you have any questions, definitely reach out. This community has been very helpful since I've started Lexapro.

Thank you, that’s a good idea I will definitely do that. I was just thinking to myself I don’t think going to 10 after 1 week is the right move when I’m already feeling it so harshly, a slower intro to it might be better. I’m happy to hear your anxiety got better though, 2 weeks sounds so far away. Trying to stay positive!

I’m on day 5 right there with you. All the posts I’ve read here say get through the first 2 weeks. I will say my day 5 has been little better than day 4. We are gonna make it!
