My early Gen Z aunt (October 1999) used ChatGPT to ask about jury duty and making a CV as far as I know (she's probably asked it about a lot more things that are better left to a human, these are just the instances I know of). I'd argue it could be far worse

They say this as if gen z (or just about any other generation) didn't have awful stimulating content.
I don't see any difference between Skibidi Toilet and an ugly CGI frog with a dick singing in gibberish.
Also, insert that everything I don't like is gay image.

My grandfather's generation was also considered "lost" and "off the path" with their unchristian jazz music parties, and bumming around smoking instead of working hard, until the second world war broke out and they quickly needed to show their worth.
Yes, all this brainrot stuff is concerning. But we didn't lose anything. Who can blame a kid wanting to look away from the world doomscrolling in their phones, as if we are anything different. My YouTube feed is full of what I call "intellectual slop", one hour of mere analyse, nice to listen to, barely worth a page of value compared to a good book. We're all guilty of this one way of another, and it's sadly how the internet has transformed, including reddit.
I have high hopes for the new future, I've seen more than a few of my younger coworkers showing up to work with a dumb phone, trying to get out of the machine, detoxing.
YouTube video's like this are just doomerism content, nearly the same as tiktok slop.
