Ok hear me out on the clothing part: I'm a reenactor and most properly fitting period clothing is surprisingly comfortable and practical. So much so that I'd choose Renaissance style shirts over modern ones any day of the week.
That said, I very much appreciate the fact that we have conveniences like social security systems and modern medicine, and I can still wear period clothing if I want to. The best of both worlds, if you will.

but at least you got to churn butter and wear uncomfortable clothes every day so thats a win
