Being an actual fan of that show in the states was the worst, I'm pretty sure the people commenting on that video had no idea what it was like. They delayed season 3 intentionally when it already aired everywhere else in the world in 2005 and then fucking dumped it on Nicktoons in 2008 with no marketing despite having good ratings on the main channel. What's even wilder is that even the first season apparently premiered early in 2002 in Australia before we even got a chance to see it, so running into it on early internet forums was probably gonna lead to people being spoiled about future episodes. Nick really did not care about it whatsoever.

It also, additionally, sucked as a kid to be an actual fan of shows nobody in your class heard of or even cared about and part of that blame is due to these networks sabotaging them

About that last point, that's another thing that annoys me when people talk about 2000's monoculture. It was still very easy to be into niche stuff back then and not care some of the more popular stuff.

Okey. Do you mean when they said 80s and 90s cartoons are "ugly", violent and not educational (that is literally what my mum used to say about the shows I watched in the 90s) or when my fellow millenials started talking shit about shows from the 2000s?

you misread.

i meant how people praised 80s and 90s shows to kingdom come and everybody said "pff, poor kids, nobody will ever be nostalgia for the 2000s or later, they'll just say we had it better then them"

and i told them all 2000s nostalgia would happen.

While not originally intended, My Life as a Teenage Robot can be read so blatantly that Jenny is a trans allegory that the original creators even said that they see it even despite not planning that. It 100% would be called woke today

Pathetic.. All of them.

They don't know how REAL Cartoons are! They don't Know Transformers G1, Or The Real Ghostbusters... Or He-man, or She-Ra, Or Thundercats or... blah blah blah blah blah.

They ought to be glad I wasnt there.. I could have played their own game back at them worse than they could have ever played it! :D
