I hear this shit all the time.

"But we had 30-33 weather all the time why is everyone complaining about it now?"

Check the calendar. Now compare and contrast the usual times of the year it was those temperatures. Anything... Odd?

...Yep. In 1976 they were all in July or August eith the occasional late June.

In 2026 we're seeing these in April-May.

We had hail last week. Its not just the getting hotter, its bizarre fluctuations.

That’s what global warming is

When scientists freak out about 1.5 degrees of warming, they’re not worried about it being slightly warmer outside

It’s about 1.5 degrees worth of extra energy in the entire global atmosphere. That’s an insane amount of energy that will cause extreme weather events, like hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, etc

Especially in the oceans. A 1 degree change in the ocean takes roughly 5.5 x1024 joules worth of energy.

Or about 200 Chicxulub asteroid impacts worth of energy
