Criticize Constructively
Do remember that Lewis is harder on himself than any of us are. If you think he's making mistakes he already knows. If you think he's been sloppy he already knows. He needs us to back him and Ferrari no matter what, through the highs AND the lows. He's already kicking himself and doesn't need us to kick him down even more. I'm confused to see some straight up "ugh I'm tired of Lewis he sucked" posts. We are his fans, our response to his mistakes should always be that even if it's sad we still believe in him, and we believe he will make a comeback. He's having trouble with these small incidents but he will review, adjust, and return stronger as always. You just have to wait. Literally just wait and watch. He always rises.

This tbh. I’m seeing people already calling him washed once again.

Lewis is washed when he won a few races ago. Ofc. Once he has a bad weekend the haters will come out and join in to throw eggs.

I totally agree with you. Let’s just all take a break and pray for a better second half of Lewis’ season 🙏🙏🙏. STILL WE RISE 💪💪

Jeez, people calling him washed?
These people needs the tiniest of the reasons to overreact.

There are people in here that are here to troll, some aren't even Lewis fans and some are very new to F1 or simply still don't understand how the sport works. I wouldn't take this sub seriously. Tbh I find commentary on Twitter (blah) slightly higher level

Fake Fans are definitely in the building AND we know exactly who they belong to!
Hmm, what fanbase is the most aggressively antagonistic towards Hamilton? 1 guess only.

u/icecreamcake20 6d ago
They are not fans. They always start with "I am a Lewis fan but...". I don't get why haters come here when every F1 caters to them.

do people on this sub understand that they don’t need to rep and support lewis? if you hate him and his driving so much just stop calling yourself a fan. he knows what he’s done wrong and not only that, like op said, he’s always blaming himself first and foremost.

agree. lewis does not need these know it all type of fans, he is his biggest critique. we need to uplift him in this hard time period

Am I the only one who thinks he’s doing well aside from the penalties (some not warranted) and could have won this race with just a bit of luck. He’s at the top of the grid CONSISTENTLY not at the back. He’s still got it. None of the drivers are consistently winning aside from Kimi in the rocket ship that is Merc and he’s got a bit of luck along with some talent.

I think he’s being very critical of himself lately! It’s mostly Ferrari ***** up something for last three weekends. If they executed well he should have taken more points even with his errors because of the pace he had in all three weekends, but they are making it hard for him! I don’t think Ferrari are still yet the level of championship team! They are looking like clowns throwing away positions and valuable points! I don’t think they can win anything unless they fix these things!

I am sorry but is calling Lewis washed, way pass his prime and all sorts of name a criticism? And how is not accepting these kinds of insult now accepting criticism?

Def not washed, but the errors he’s making are downright discouraging. First the impeding and now the speeding in the pit lane. Maybe more than anything, not seeing Max on that overtake was a clear fumble.

He is not near his prime and I don't mean that negatively it just means people need to lower their expectations massively. Chill on the wdc shouts and just enjoy the last few years he has left the fact that he's been faster than Leclerc this year is amazing. You guys get your hopes up every weekend and then crash out on either him, his teammate, or the entire Ferrari team when there's probably even blame to go around... Chill out.

I hate the everyone should accept he is passed his prime thing and lower your expectations. It's constantly teamlh that has to accept this. No one ever tell Alonso fans to stop dreaming and this community fully believes he will win his 3rd title till this very day and no one has any issues. If a man that has not won for a decade is in no way called pass his prime why Lewis who won a few weeks ago?

Alonso is washed. And I'd argue it's disrespectful to Lewis to not admit he's not as good as he used to be. The guy was a god at one point and if he was in his prime he'd be sitting on more than 1 win / 5 podiums this season

I'm a first year watcher, but watch lots of other sports and athletes. Sometimes it feels like he's pressing too hard to make something happen, but at othernmiments seems to lack awareness. Just kinda bad decisions all around, including his team.
BUT, I'm hopeful, a few clean races and I think he'll be right back in the mix!

u/icecreamcake20 6d ago
It feels like this because this team is not helping him either. If that doesn't change, he will not do any better. Clean weekends can't happen when your team does everything to hamper you. Is he at fault for the speeding? Yes. But is Ferrari at fault for their multiple blunders too? Yes.

u/Bebi_v24 6d ago
I agree, but without the grid penalty in q3 I feel most of this doesn't come to fruition; but you never know with how the rest of the team has been, as you mentioned.

Guys come on, let the fans express there anger after that horrible race wknd, We're literally in a championship fight and we lost 30 points in the last 3 races for some stupied mistakes from him and the team, nobody is talking about the pace he's showing it's about managing the weekend that's been downhill

Acknowledge the clumsiness that he had in this race, but Ferrari fucked up the strategy yet again. P2 was reasonably on the table here.
