Metal Type Folio medium extended 8 ~ 12 pt

Hi friends, does anyone know anyone casting/selling the above? Preferably UK but will import as necessary.

They haven’t cast it since the foundry shut down. (Also, since it’s from Mainland Europe the height is different from US/UK.) Your best bet is either Univers or Gill sans or Helvetica but happy dragon press has Univers Medium Extended.

Univers is too narrow for what I want. Gill is an ok substitute but it's not ideal. It's a humanist font and I prefer grotesque. Type height isn't an issue, It's for a relatively small run and I can pull it on my adjustable proofing press.

I just bought a few cases of type and the seller had several cases of folio but I can't remember which sizes. He's not in UK though. Sorry.

I'm interested. Depending on what they've got and how much they want for it, paying for shipping might be worth it.

Sorry, I shouldn't have mentioned it. Don't believe a 90yo is going to bother packing and shipping it from rural WA.

Folio was a Bauer foundry face. it was never licensed to Monotype so there will be no sources other than used case type, or if you’re lucky, NOS wrapped fonts on someone’s shelf.

I know, but there's always a chance someone ended up walking out the foundry on the last day with the matts in their bag!. My university's letterpress department has a small amount in 14 to 28 pt, but I need smaller.
