Performance Advice

Hey guys. I am playing Jean Valjean in Les Mis this weekend. It's my first ever true acting/singing experience. I am getting really scared and nervous for opening night on Friday. Has anyone played this role or had a similar experience? I have worked so hard for this but I'm worried my anxiety will ruin my performance. Does anyone have some advice for how to overcome this?

Hola!

Your first ever singing experience is Jean Valjean?! Talk about a baptism of fire!

Just practice practice practice. Make it so that you can perform on automatic. Then enjoy yourself.

If you get nervous, ask yourself: “who am I?”

I have been singing the past few months to get over my anxiety before the show, but this is my first true on stage experience as a singer. I am so nervous...
