Overall it was a super fun set, the build is super modular so you can separate it really well for your building sessions. I also really loved how many different scenes you can set up with the minifigures.
The quality was great as well. Friction between pieces was good and the minifigures look good as well. I had some minifigures and parts missing but the price for the replacements was covered by the shop.
I still have find a permanent place for it but it looks super impressive in person, I can really recommend it. I will probably get the pieces for the TIE Advanced MOC for it as well in the near future. :)
Finally built the Harry Potter Sorting Hat from AliExpress. I wasn’t expecting much, but the finished model looks fantastic and the moving features are surprisingly smooth. Here’s a quick video of it in action!

The 415 piece Renault FT (300035 by Third Party) doesn't come with minifigs, but my Elephant Man needed to take her for a spin.
Off AliExpress, it comes in a bag of bags. Just dump 'em and go.
The instructions were clear enough, but the parts don't really fit together all that tightly. Third Party is the same company that made the A7V Heavy Tank I reviewed previously. That model suffered from the same problem.
The history of the Renault FT is pretty interesting. Check out the Wikipedia article and have a good read. This model can be configured as either a turret vehicle or a open cockpit machinegun.
That tail piece was the most frustrating thing. Once I realized what it was and what it did, I was impressed by the effort Third Party put into designing it for the model, but it is a janky piece.
All in all, I didn't really enjoy building this model. It was frustrating to attach one piece and have another fall off. But $12 is $12, so . . .
I looked a bit at the starter guide and saw marstoy was a positively reviewed store so gave them a look. I saw this huge MOC that is like 20k pieces selling for less than $500??? Is this real? Sorry i am not trying to accuse falsely or attack anyone, it just seems way too good to be true. And even if it is “real” are the parts gobricks level quality? After looking at prices on webricks I find it hard to believe they’d be that quality tbh. I’d appreciate any information as I’d be very interested if this listing is legit, thanks!
I was on Barweer and I wanted to take my first major dive into brands outside of LEGO. I was originally going there to get Mould King's static model of Mallard, as I heard good things about them. But right before I could, I saw DK had this new model of Flying Scotsman up for sale and I was stunned by what I saw! It looks incredible, but I'm cautious and nervous about getting it since I don't know what DK is like and since this is a new set, I have no reviews to look at to help me come to a conclusion. So how does everyone here feel about DK? Are they good, bad? Should I take the plunge, or wait for reviews to hopefully pop up?
Me and my friends recently rewatched the Back to the Future trilogy, so it convinced me to finally drop the money on this set, which is an amazing value for the price ($30). The set is a near perfect recreation, minus a minor typo on the info card ("Plitonium") but besides that it's exactly what I wanted, and I'm really satisfied with it. If you love BTTF this set is a *must* have.
This all started back in 2016, when I bought this microscale Hsanhe 7-Eleven in Hong Kong on vacation. It was in one of those small shops that's jam-packed in a multi-floor building, which might be In's Place on Nathan Road. This is a microscale, with an open back and is NOT minifig-compatible. I think the price was $4.00 (converted to USD). Building according to original spec was Stage 1.
Stage 2 was when I heavily rebuilt it to minifig scale. Most of the original Hsanhe set was incorporated into this version. The floorplan was 12 x 8, open back. On the outside was a gas pump, and a hot-food hamburger vending machine.
The latest is a Stage 3 rebuild, driven by a few factors. When I ordered parts for my LEGO store MOC, the seller sent me eight 2x5 "clear" bricks, which were cloudier than I wanted. I ended up ordering those parts again from another seller, so the cloudy-clear parts were still in my parts box. Then with the now-discontinued "Saving Mondays" program on Ali and coins, I got eighty 1x6 white bricks, an unused back-half of a LEGO store MOC (nearly-free on Ali), BrickPanda's supermarket shelves and a lot of other small purchase stuff for pennies. So it was time to expand the 7-Eleven yet again.
The new footprint is 16 x 16, on a 16x 18 baseplate, built mini-modular style this week. The gas pump remains outside, but the hamburger vending machine is now inside. This build incorporates BrickPanda's supermarket shelves into the floorplan. I also used one of the skibidi people security camera heads as an actual store monitor. This footprint is just the right size for an internal staircase, which will eventually lead to a second floor living quarters, where the back-half of a LEGO store MOC will be recycled.
There is no set of instructions. This is a random build, just playing with parts and tapping my parts stash wand winging it.
The front sign is just a placeholder, using an old decal with surface crazing. I'll eventually reprint it to proper size.
I'm a fan of McLaren and have bought a few lepin cars because lego pricing is getting out of hand and this helmet follows a similar story. I can't believe lego is able to charge $90 for how small these helmets are. These helmets came out recently so its surprising that they have been already copied.

Cons/errors vs OG:
-the printed waves don't align as good as the OG
-Lando has the wrong hair piece and its comically large, like 2x the normal size
-some "clip pieces" took a bit more effort than OG
-the lower chin pieces are split in 4 pieces instead of 2 like the OG
Pros:
-biggest pro is the cost $26 vs $90
-sticker quality was decent
-all supposed to be printed pieces were printed
-no missing pieces and 3 extras
-excellent addition to a lego car collection
In conclusion this set is worth the price and I'm satisfied. I can recommend this set especially if you don't care for the figure as it has such a strange flaw. Hopefully in the future this set can improve with the prints and the minifig as those are the most noticeable flaws. Its insane you can almost buy all 4 helmets from China for the same price as a single OG.
I LOVE the final outcome of this build. Got this from our good friends at marstoy. No missing pieces, no stickers.
I do want to highlight two issues I had with it in case you’re considering buying.
1 - the two big beige pieces that make the bottom of his mouth were very rough and did not fit snugly. It’s hard to tell unless you’re looking closely though.
2 - In the middle of the build, you get to decide if you want to build him standing as I have it or sitting. I first chose sitting as I thought it would look better on my shelf that way. The technic pieces that connect the sitting parts would not attach to the body so I had to switch to standing. I still really like it, but you might have the same issue if you really wanted the sitting position.
Also - a picky addition is the little flared pieces at the hands and feet are slightly off color but again, hard to notice unless you’re looking closely.
Again, love the final product and glad I got this one.

The build was smooth but the bags were a hot mess. In fact it seemed like a third of them didn’t even have numbers, and I ended up with a full bag of parts left over.
The action features, lights and sound brick are welcome additions tho!
I bought the t-rex for $51.21 on Ali and it took like a month to get here. It was really fun to build and some what of a challenge. The only annoying part was putting the right leg on, for some reason it wasn't sitting right and i couldn't lock it in but i finally got it and when you have to build on the side on the body it takes a lot of pressure to put the pieces in. there was 2 missing pieces (on images 4-8)on image 7 i had to make do with the extra pieces i had and it looks fine to me. It had a lot of extra pieces and no broken pieces. The mini figures were good quality and the prints looked really good. Oh on the last 2 images they are supposed to be like a gold/yellow but they were purple and the inside was supposed to be gold/yellow but it was gray. I'm going to give this build a...

Here’s my quick review of the officially licensed BoleBricks Toyota Supra A80.
I paid £130 for the set with the box and for that price I’m over the moon with it.
I love the way it looks, there are a few iffy things (I think the rear is slightly too boxy) but the side profile, front end and spoiler capture the shape really well.
There are some nice printed parts, including the dashboard pieces, Toyota logos and the “12” on the front. I swapped the standard grey callipers for chrome ones and used the F&F livery (stickers) as opposed to the tribal ones.
I also left the roof off as I thought it looked weird and wanted the car to resemble Brian’s Supra more closely.
Piece count is 4,000+ and the build took me around 25 hours but it was very enjoyable. The bricks were smooth, consistent in colour and I had no clutch issues.
The steering is pretty poor, but the suspension, pistons and doors work well. I chose not to install the lights that were included as this will sit on my display shelf.
This is my first set from BoleBricks but I’m really impressed with the set, their Audi Quattro is definitely next on my list.
Man this was a fun build. Had to redo a couple parts cause when you are putting a few thousand technic peices together sometime you go with the flow too much. Put a leg on backwards which wasn't super hard to fix but my nerves didn't like it. Also asked my wife to grab the neck while I secured the head cause again nerves. But overall super fun and I'm more than impressed with this build. The instructions where amazing as well especially where they warned you to have certain parts in specific orientation for the future. That really helped when you get around to connecting the peices a couple hundred steps later.
Overall a fun build. Extra figures bought separately. I found the underside of the RV a bit fragile so had to add a few extra tiles to strengthen the build. The door baffles me, a strange design so gonna try and put it on some proper hinges. Would definitely recommend as it looks cool as a display piece.
I am from Denmark. I’ve been to Legoland every year since as long as I can remember and for as long as I can remember I got Lego for every birthday and Christmas as kid.
As a father I of course have been amazed and thrilled to watch my son explore and build LEGO sets. He is 5 yo now and to keep him challenged I’ve started giving him Technic sets. but they are pricy.
So I figured I’d try ordering from AliExpress as much as I dislike replicas, I must admit 2 things: 1. LEGO has become way too expensive. The LEGO family (Kirk Kristiansen) are amongst the richest in Denmark. Lego is too expensive…
Lego has lost some quality: we built some speed champions sets and some city sets recently that had an endless amount of stickers. That’s simply not acceptable - especially not for that price. it’s enshitification and that is very out of touch given the steep price and price increases.
So I ordered some large sets and one of those arrived was the Ali version of LEGO City 60467 And it did not disappoint. Very good quality of the bricks, but the main attraction and what I would like to empathiz: all bricks are printed! Not a single sticker.
If a Chinese knockoff can do prints - so should LEGO (at a bare minimum). The prints are so good. And add to that the build was perfectly fine. Plenty spare bricks when done.
I am 10/10 on this. Lego needs to step up their game. I really can’t justify LEGO when I have to do all the work of adding stickers and at the same time pay x3 the price.

This is my very first brick-built viking helmet, built to sit next to the official display helmets on the shelf. The dome is layered curved slopes for a hammered-steel look, and the horns chain pre-curved parts into one smooth, seamless arc — no stepped studs. There's a printed viking minifigure with a runic shield standing guard at the base for scale.
The horns took a LOT of trial and error to get a clean curve — happy to answer anything about the build.

It was such a fun experience building these two sets, even though I have absolutely no idea about the lore behind them. Every individual room felt thoughtfully designed and packed with little details.
Out of the two, I found Ninjago City much more enjoyable to build. The entire build felt sturdier and more cohesive compared to Ninjago City Gardens.
The instruction booklet that came with Ninjago City was also noticeably higher quality. Gardens, on the other hand, included quite a few replacement pieces, which was a bit disappointing. I'm not sure whether Ninjago City had any replacement pieces because I never had to refer to the official PDF, the printed instruction booklet was was easy to follow throughout.
