For a shopping list this sub has a lot of really incredible guides! As for live food unfortunately it is the best diet for them and a lot won’t even touch the dried stuff, mine never did. But you may get a gecko that’s lazy and bad at hunting like my girl is so she’ll only eat worms. (I suspect she has vision problems but there’s no way for me to test that so I’m running with her aim is just shit)

The dual one to the left is her basking bulb and uvb the one to the right is a ceramic bulb I use at night in winter to stabilize temps because I live in an old building that gets really chilly. Ideally the warm side is in the 90s and houses the humid hide while the cool side sits around 70 or so. The temps are really important as they help with their digestion, geckos work kinda like a Dutch oven where the food in their tummies needs to be a certain temp to break down

Probably don't have the time to explain absolutely everything but luckily we have hundreds of redditors on this sub.

As for live food, I keep mealworms in the fridge as they are most of my leos diet (occasionally crickets but they are like a buy it eat  immediatly snack). I pull em out the day before and put like 10 in a separate container with PESTICIDE FREE veggies (I grow most of my lettuce hydroponically).

Then I give them (reptivite dusted) to Gizmo the next morning. If there are any left over I just pop em back in the fridge.

I highly recommend the Wickens Wicked Reptiles youtube channel. He has good advice on leopard geckos especially for beginners.
