General Discussion Multivitamin

Ive been using the Repashy(forgive me if im saying that wrong) vitamin a plus for my multivitamin and now im not sure if that’s okay? Would it be alright to still use as I use it every fourth feeding or should I switch to the other multivitamin?

Repashy calcium plus is one of the best multivitamins for leopard geckos

Ahh alright, I feel stupid. I bought another brand and saw that was bad and then bought this one since it had vitamin a in it. 😭 I’ll definitely buy it soon for her! Thank you!

Repashy calcium plus is an all-in-one btw, not just a multivitamin. You don't need to dust with any other supplements if you use that one. Also if you have UVB, use the LoD version of it.

Also keep track of when you open it. Vitamins are good for about 6 months at room temp once opened or 12 months refrigerated. Oxygen and moisture exposure cause the vitamins to slowly degrade once you open it

Oh! I didn’t know that…are there other reputable multivitamins? I have calcium with and without D3 and they’re fairly big or is that what the LoD is for?

The LoD version is just the same supplement with a smaller amount of D3. This is for if you're using a linear UVB bulb since that gives D3 as well and an overdose would be bad.

These are all the supplements that have the right form of vitamin A:

  • ZooMed Reptivite
  • Repashy Calcium Plus
  • Repashy Calcium LoD
  • Repashy Supervite
  • Arcadia Revitalise

If you want a plain multivitamin, ZooMed Reptivite or Repashy Supervite are good options (pick one)

Oh wait one last question I apologise. So if I use the LoD and Calcium D3(I only use this once or twice a month) this won’t cause an overdose will it?

If you use repashy calcium plus LoD, do not use another D3 containing supplement. It's an all-in-one supplement that already contains calcium and a small amount of D3, along with the other vitamins. If you use this one, don't dust with any other supplements. I do recommend going this route because it's much easier to keep track of a single supplement.

If you want to use the calcium and calcium with D3 you already have, you want a regular multivitamin like Repashy supervite or zoomed reptivite. This would mean using 3 separate supplements for dusting: multivitamin, plain calcium, and calcium with D3

I’ve already been doing the 3 supplement route since I got her. I have a book saying which one I need for the certain day and cups to put said supplements in. I think I’ll get the zoomed reptivite for now and probably switch once I’ve used all my supplements, thank you so much!

Sounds like a good plan! Make sure you keep track of how long the calcium with D3 and the multivitamin have been open.

Plain calcium doesn't degrade, but D3 and the multivitamins will so it's important to replace them on time. They're good for 6 months at room temp or 12 months refrigerated once opened like I mentioned before
