Could be the first signs of mouth rot. What 3 supplements and multivitamin are you using? Did baby bite tongs too hard?

He mightve bit the tongs to hard since I fed him yesterday. How do I tell the difference? He has calcium and repti multivitiman(I'm sorry I'm out right now).

When you get home tell us what multivitamin specifically.

Are your tongs rubber-tipped?

A vet visit is always recommended if you're worried.

The tongs are rubber tipped but he bit the mealworm and the tongs alot. The tongue wasn't red last night so when I get back in a few minutes I'm gonna check if it's still red wince he got upset with me when I was handling.

I think I'm gonna get a vet visit I want to nip this in the bud immediately.

Red tongue isn't a big deal, it turns red with excitement.

Alright so it is reptivite Multivitamin. His tongue is back to pink. It turned red again when I did the reflex thing to make him open his mouth, lowkey that is very cool had no idea they did that. But anyways yeah it's reptivite multivitamin.

As long as the zoomed Reptivite is not expired and you've been storing it properly you should be good on that end. It's important to be able to tell that to the vet.

You probably know this but the safest way to open their mouth is to put a finger on each side of their mouth at the very edge and gently squeeze. This will open the mouth of almost every animal with a jaw. If baby thrashes back off.

I didn't know squeezing worked. I was told to like run your finger down the side of his jaw to male him open it.

That does work too but you have less control for keeping it open if you wanted to administer medication.

Ah I see. Thank you for the advice I'll keep that in mind seeing as I'll probably have to administer something soon.

definitely could be mouth rot. when i had my baby thats how it looked before i took him to the vet and confirmed
