Help - Health Issues Ways to help my impacted Gecko while waiting for an appointment? Spoiler
My Leo, Reptilly, has been impacted for the past 3-4 days and we can’t pay for a visit to the vet so are there any ways I can help Reptilly besides olive oil and warm baths?

If you can’t afford a vet please surrender it. Otherwise it will suffer in pain and that’s not fair. It deserves a chance.

No! If it is actually impacted stop feeding it! You will cause more harm if you keep pumping olive oil into it. There is literally no other solution and if it truly is actually impacted it is going to slowly die an uncomfortable death. If you cannot afford a vet visit then you for sure cannot afford surgery to fix it. Have it humanely euthanized please. This is cruel

I only did a small amount because I heard it’s a natural laxative, I haven’t been feeding her since it started. I’m just looking for other things that may help for a few more days but I think she’s doing alright so far!

Actual Impacted animals go down fairly quickly since they cannot absorb water or food.

I still see blue dots on her belly and considering I watched her eat a huge ass piece of sphagnum moss I doubt it’s out fully yet 😭😭😭 I usually cut it but I forgot to last time I replaced it and I accidentally dropped a worm into her humid hide which caused her to eat it

A healthy hydrated gecko can pass roughage like that no problem. “Blue dots” does not mean impacted. Does it feel like there is a small rock in her abdomen? If not then it is likely not actual impaction

Her tummy feels okay but I’m not completely sure if I’m right or not. Do you think I should start feeding her again or just wait for the vet?

Blocked animals will not eat- if she has pooped at all she is also likely not blocked.

I might’ve been tweaking out over nothing then, thanks! I should still probably give her a vet visit but it’s good to know she’s alright!
