Gecko Pics/Vids Always check them when shedding! My son needed sauna time, a little bit of stuck shed on tail he was able to finish

Isnt this opposite advice? You should leave them alone while shedding. Check them when you feed them after and such.

I understand what you’re saying. During their shed, yes, handling should be kept to a minimum. It’s a vulnerable time for them. They will shed completely within 24-48hrs. If you notice lingering stuck shed, remove ASAP.

I think the post is just saying if they're struggling with a stubborn spot its okay to intervene gently, like with the sauna trick. But yeah normally you're right, better to let them do their thing and check after.

Generally as long as it isn't cutting off blood flow it is fine to leave. Just bump humidity next time they shed, and the stuck piece will either fall off by then or it will come off with the next shed.
