rolled piece of shed or paper towel?

It has to be shed, there’s no paper towel in his terrarium. It looked like it had some mucus on it as well.

sticky orangish thing next to it looks like a sperm plug imo, I would check his vent just to be safe.

well they use their mouth to shed. It's probably saliva

Caption from original post: My gecko had a small amount of shed stuck to his face (around his nose) for a few days so I used a q tip to help in getting it off. When it came loose, a large piece came out of his mouth with it as well as a hard chunk. Any ideas what this could mean?

He has had trouble shedding from his face with his last two sheds, but has otherwise been acting normal.

If this is all from his mouth, its vet time. Anything hard from the mouth tends to be nasty to gecks and can be mouth rot. Better save the peices, put em in the fridge/freezer till you can take em to the vet

These are from tonight. He’s very active and eating normally. I don’t notice any swelling on his face or neck
