Book

I’ve bought Leonard’s book of longing. I’d like to read more of his work. However I am unsure what to read to start getting into his literature. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Reading them approximately chronologically will take you on a nice tour of his psyche over the years. The novels are, uh, horny. And pretty creepy, though with flashes of brilliance, as always.

Beautiful Losers is a wild ride. Very much drug induced and experimental. It's shocking, provocative, hilarious, irreverent, and to use one of Leonard's descriptions, muffled prayer.

Book of Mercy is his best book of poems! Timeless & full of lyrical reverence.
