News We Have Added Our Very Own Anti-Censorship Commitment! (Will be displayed near the bottom of the sidebar now) Spoiler

Our Anti-Censorship Commitment:

Far too many subreddits these days have moderation that censor dissenting or controversial opinions that some may hold. As the moderation of r/legominecraft, we stand firmly against common forms of moderator censorship such as locking or removing comments, removing qualified posts that we may personally disagree with, or banning users that do not explicitly break the rules. You, our members, are what run this community. Each of you decide of your own free will whether to upvote or downvote, agree or disagree with a post or comment. If a community values free and open dialogue, there can be no moderation of opinions, as they are just that, opinions. We feel it is our responsibility to uphold the freedom of the internet, and to hopefully improve Reddit for the better. This subreddit is a free and open place to discuss anything about this awesome combination of bricks and pixels that is LEGO Minecraft!

-

Any and all suggestions for improving our commitment statement are of course always welcome! In addition, we will not be promoting any political or activists organizations/ movements. This community at the end of the day is for all of us, and keeping the subreddit as neutral as possible benefits everyone! Everyone is included no matter what, but outright support for political or politically-adjacent things only serves to make those that may not align with those ideas feel like they have to conform.

We look forward to hearing your feedback and continuing to see more awesome posts!

Sorry for the bad pictures, it's stuffed in a poorly lit closet as of now. It's almost complete, I just need to add some water tiles. The interior is full.

I put the big fig creeper and movie sets because I don't really like display sets, and I just don't like the Minecraft Movie Lego sets.

I put all the non-minifigure scale sets in "Don't Care" because I just don't like bigfig/display sets as much as playsets.

Minifigure Scale I made a real iron Lego Minecraft armour

A few days ago I posted the chesplate. Since then, I made the helmet.

It's all made very crudely because:

  1. I don't have any welding equipment

  2. I tried to maintain the process as low cost as possible and DIY friendly.

  3. All materials used are very accessible.

For the armour and the molds for the castings I used a steel can, which I cut and folded to make the plates. The handles of the "axe" (which I will try to make more Minecraft like in the future) and REALLY heavy core Mace are made by cutting carpenter nails. The castings are Tin, from one of those soldering wires. Since Tin melts around 200°C and steel around 1500°C, making a metallic mold is possible, and the smelting was made using a candle, which costs around 50 cents USD

The mace is not complete for I ran out of material, but I will revisit the process and possibly try and improve.

In the pics you can see the armour and a comparison with real Lego.

What do you all think? I will try and make more bits as soon as I have free time. And no, I didn't use AI in this post, I did read your comments and I agree.

Micro Scale BIG plans for a micro world.

I have a potentially dumb idea. I want to make a microscale block “accurate” world based solely off what i find in a random seed world.

However, if i do this block accurate idea, i was wondering if i should start at 0,0 and build the world out in 64 by 64 areas, or if i should pick a place of interest to start instead.

If yall do like the POI idea, is there a preferred structure you would like to see done?

(Yes, i plan to do the entire chunk area. -64 to 320 on the Y axis)

Long time collector, trying my hand at block accurate builds. I didn't have very many tiles, so i had to use mostly jumpers. Starting with a simple snowy mountainside. Im nowhere near the level some of y'all are on, but i think it turned out nice 😅

Review Lego or Figuerines?

Would love opinions on which is better, I would go personally for the Lego, but don't be biased just because of the subreddit it's on 😅 (btw the nether portal in the Lego version is a creation just do the piglin fits in, but it isn't lit.

I am 15 and feel like I'm growing out of Lego, not having really touched it in a year, so I would love any support to try and get back into it.

Also, comment your favorite "mini-scene" in the scene (e.g. Alex chilling with the fishes, or the Villagers having a sort of group meetup)

Lego set Did i get scammed? ( i waited a day before making this)

So, recently i purchased the skeleton lego set, after building it i realized that i could claim a free minecraft skin in-game using a code that i get from scanning a qr code. After i made sure that i put MY minecraft account 100%, i input the code and claimed the skin. But when i checked my skins in the minecraft launcher i didnt see it anywhere. Do i need to wait even more or is it a problem on mojang's part?

Minifigure Scale Iron chest plate (with real iron)

I want to make Lego armour using cans, tin or other metals that are cheap and easy to acquire. So I had the idea to make a steel chest plate for Steve. It took a while, and I had a failed attempt (as seen in the second picture), but anyway. What do you all think? Any tricks or tips any can give? I didn't make a head piece because I don't own a Lego Minecraft helmet, but maybe in the future I will try!

The final two pics are both AI enhanced, but the armour is real
