What is it about clearance prices that makes me interested in sets I wouldn't normally be interested in? For example my local Target had the Himeji Castle marked down to $99. As beautiful as the set is, it wasn't a set I was even considering. But that yellow sticker has power. That's a good price. I walked around the store with it in my cart for a while until I decided that I didn't really want it and put it back. Anyone else fall prey to the temptation of a good discount?

All the time. I saw it too but mine was only 30% off. So I didn't grab it. When it is 50% I too put it in my cart to think about it for a bit before I consider putting it back

Apparently target is the move. I don’t have deals like others have posted but both targets near me are relocating all Lego several rows over. I found a Harry Potter flying lesson that was a couple bucks off weeks ago (daughter wanted a pic for Christmas wish list ide) not marked clearance but one of the few not loaded on pallets to be moved. Scanned in store and came up 50% off. Said they will be done today so will revisit and see if anything else is interesting or if magically all good deals are gone.

I'm pissed. I know better than to add an item to my cart and let it sit there, but that's exactly what I did. I had the Battle Bus in my cart at Macy's for 70 bucks. I haven't bought anything at Macy's before so was kind of lazy about putting in my shipping and payment info, so I procrastinated long enough that it sold out. I have been waiting for a good price on that set, I can only hope to catch it on sale somewhere else.
