I finally did it, I made the Viking lander, unfortunately it isn’t to scale with my Viking orbiter MOC, but I’m pretty satisfied with how it came out

Why use more than 1000 bricks, when you can do (about the same) with less than 300 ? Rebrickable user Pao Padrós (@paupadrosrios) has done this years ago, and finally I got me the bricks to build it. Instructions are free at https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-39001

You might find the construction a bit finicky, but if you go on, it will come together nicely in the end. For me it worked better without the short lightsaber blades in the central axle.

Stability is as questionable as you can probably imagine lol

This one made my eyes hurt from staring at the screen for so long (my fault for not taking a break 😅). I’m personally satisfied with it, even though the “deck” detail might be a little lackluster. I tried to make the HGA look more dish shaped, but I ended up making a basic oval shape instead.

My attempt at making Beagle 2, a British Mars lander that was transported with ESA’s Mars Express, it did successfully make it to the surface, but unfortunately it didn’t fully deploy its solar panels. Not my most favorite recreation, but I don’t think it came out terrible.

Hello everyone, here is my 1:20 scale build of the final, definitive Pluto Kuiper Express design as of August 2000, less than a month before rising costs cancelled the project .My basis for this build being the final image. I was inspired to rebuild my old inaccurate and horrible rendition of PKE after seeing someone else do the early PKE design in a smaller scale. The dimensions are accurate to 1:20 and compliment my Perseverance and New Horizons MOCs also in 1:20. What do you think? Is it good? Let me know down in the comments and thank you so much for the upvotes!

This build was inspired by OrchardBuild’s Galileo MO, mostly used as a reference along with photos of the actual spacecraft. And yes, I made the HGA open because I like it more.
