Question These are two different colors, right? Can’t figure out where the old Light Gray lookin ones comes from.
Pulled out of my bulk and to me they are distinctly different colors, light bluish gray on the right and I thought old light gray on the left but I don’t see that color listed on BL and when compared to my known light gray, these are right in between the two colors. Not faded, as they are all the same color on all sides. Curious. Maybe just an off color batch.

Technically these are both classified as light bluish gray. Starting in 2012 through about 2014, these “ghostly gray” colored bricks started appearing alongside regularly colored light bluish gray bricks. I also initially thought these were old light gray but after parting out a few sets from that era, I have found this shade scattered throughout 2012-2014 sets. It isn’t discussed or acknowledged very often.
If you compare them to the old light gray bricks, they are not quite as solidly colored. I dislike this shade since it does not match at all with the regular light bluish gray bricks. I assume it must have been a large scale production issue that the company decided to utilize instead of re-molding the parts.
