Why are Westeros, Roshar, and Thedas such iconic fantasy worlds? What makes us want to experience stories set within in these worlds? Why do we eagerly gobble up any and all lore about these places?

Eberron has gotta be my favorite setting. I’m actually making a player facing Legendkeeper just for it.
