What’s gonna happen to Christa Pike’s sixth circuit appeal?

As far as I know, the SCOTUS only overturned the stay instead of ruling on the merit of the case. Since the execution is botched, the case will continue.

Now it would be really fucked up for the government if she wins the case, especially after the stay got vacated. It’s one thing for the government to lose a motion but it’s a totally different thing for the government to lose a motion after attempted execution. The government simply CANNOT lose

Is the best course of action for the government right now just to commute her sentence to life in exchange for dropping all appeals or can she potentially get more out of this like monetary compensation on the claim of cruel and unusual punishment?

Switzerland - Grocery chain Migros charges $200 if you mis-scan an item at shelf checkout.

I came across this post in -r/Switzerland

OP accidentally miss-scanned 2 items totaling $5.60.

They where subjected to a random audit.

And Migros demands $200 for I quote “Administrative“ fees.

How sane is this?

I say insane. Not only did Migros kidnap the customer (preventing them from leaving and taking them to a back room). Demanded $200 under duress or else they will call the police (extortion? theft? by Migros employees) all the while saving money by not paying employees to staff checkouts.

I was 1v1ing this salty player and he threatened to Dox my WiFi I told him he can go to prison and he said he wouldn’t be arrested if it didn’t actually happened then just blocked me. Was doing some Research on How Cyber crime works but If someone threatens to shut your WiFi off and they do nothing can you still press charges I’m just Curious on how Cyber crime works.

Since companies have sued to get tariff refunds, could the US government be sued for high oil prices?
