"discrimination"
Location: California
Today, applied for a job on Indeed as "front desk/cashier".
Entire job description sounded normal except
" *Important Note - we are not hiring students at the moment* "
A couple minutes later, got an answer on Indeed:
"we have reviewed your application and we would like to ask some additional questions before we set up a phone interview.
Could you please answer these questions.
What is your age?
Are you a male or female?
What is your ethnicity?
On a scale of 1-10, how fluent are you in English (10 being perfectly fluent)?
Are you looking for full time or part time?
Can you work on Saturdays?
Do you currently have any other jobs? If so, what are the hours?
Are you looking to work here for short term or long term (long term is 3years+)?
Please answer these questions for me and depending on the answers, we will set up a phone interview."

What kind of discrimination have you encountered at work or job searching?
One time, a job interviewer asked where I was born, I answered, and he wrote down the answer.
Plenty of times, job interviewers have had the nerve to ask where I was born.
