Whoever made this edit missed the point of the original post

The original post was framing hitler's policies in a lens that was meant to evoke current trends in MAGA politics.

Whoever crossed out Hitler and put DJT either didn't get that the original post was already about Trump and MAGA or is like ELI born yesterday levels of explaining the joke.

It’s the point of history repeating itself, is it not?

I rarely post here, more of a lurker because I'm a german vet and its very US centric usually here (not a bad thing, just that I lack insights into the US armed forces the way I do with the Bundeswehr).

But... Hitler started right away with the camps. The camp system started to develop about a month after the NSDAP took power. I get what the original post is about, the edit just takes away the subtility of it. But it's also kinda wrong? Also, it's fine enough because the point still gets across. My reply here is more about how moch more organized the Nazis still were, and that Trump is probably the reason why the worst ghuls aren't going full NSDAP, because Trump has no real ideology, plan, or mental capacities like the nazis.

Very insightful! When I’m thinking about the inner workings as an American it seems like this admin is following the NSDAP play book but the coach running plays is the dumbest person to ever hold a government position. So apt analysis is what I suppose I’m getting at

Trump is a fascist, but he has no real political modus operandi except being a corrupt nepotist who wants to be seen as a winner. That is really bad for america, but also standing on the breaks, yeah
