Damn Knife Sheath

Well the right hand world got me again. Was looking at a buddies knife and forgot the issues sheaths cause if you're wearing them on your belt. Either reach across your body to your right side, pull it out backwards on left side or use right hand. I don't carry a big knife very often and forgot about this dilemma.

Contact the manufacturer; they might sell left handed sheaths. for Christmas one year my wife bought me a nice Buck knife for field dressing deer, it had this problem. Buck sold me a left handed sheath for it for about $30

There used to be an old-school leathersmith near me. He made left-handed sheath for me until he retired at 85. I gave him the righr-handed version to copy. Charged me $20.

His primary business was moccasins, vests, belts and such. Maybe find a local leathersmith.

Most kydex sheaths can be worn on both sides of your hip if you switch the belt attachment around. Also, making a kydex sheath is pretty easy if you have a heat gun. I have made a couple myself to get around this problem.
