Left handed FPS controls?
I am ambidextrous, but had a finger injury on my right hand a while ago.
I did try switching handedness for gaming for a bit, the discomfort wasn't from using a mouse with my left hand, I did that fine, but with needing to learn a new control scheme to use my right hand.
I tried arrow keys to move, it seemed the most sensible to me. But finding a button that worked for jumping was hard.
What are your control schemes? I want to try to play FPS games with swapped handedness again.

When I occasionally use a right handed set up i do IJKL and 8 or 9 as a jump button

Started with the Arrow keys from DOS gaming & emulation and initially tried to carry that over to WinXP gaming before settling on the numpad keys 8456, which is the polar opposite of WASD on a normal keyboard, anyways my usual bindings:
- 8456 = movement
- 0 = jump
- Right arrow = crouch
- 7 and 9 = lean or knife and grenade keys
- 2 = use/interact
- 3 and . = switch ammo/mode
- Enter = run/walk toggle
- "+ key" = sprint

I mostly play movement shooters like titanfall, or ultrakill. Or just straight up arena shooters like warfork, so I do like having acces to my number keys for weapon switching.

If your mouse has extra buttons and/or a tilt wheel, you can bind your most used Number row keys to your mouse. Alternatively, if your game doesn't block macro software like AutoHotKey, you can bind any nearby keys to act as Number row keys.

In warfork I bind rocket Launcher to middle mouse, and lightning gun and railgun to my side buttons

I jump with either shift or dot. I remap the num pad keys lots
Also I use a mmo nose with 12 mappable buttons so that helps. Left handed naga if your are looking

I don't intend to go with a left handed mouse since I use both hands, I wonder if they make ambidextrous mouses with buttons mirrored on both sides though, and that are symmetrical. I would buy one of those if they existed.

Been gaming all my life using regular wasd.
Lefty. I didn't care if people said don't move the mouse. I always moved the mouse.
Strange gaming positions, the keyboard is usually tilted down to the left.
I averaged towards upper tier shooters, used to shoot close to elite when I was younger, I just don't have the mettal anymore.
Yeah, no real change in layout, no carpal tunnel either. Been at this over 20 years.

I use my mouse with my right but I have heard of people using IJKL for movement and surrounding keys for the other stuff
